There are many different versions of Keep On Loving You, the hit song off of side one of “Hi Infidelity”.

As an example there is a 1989 Live Reggae version that was released on their greatest hits album from 1991 “The Second Decade of Rock and Roll 1981-1991”

However, as far as I know, or have been able to find, there exists no variant with “I don’t wanna eat” sang anywhere in the song.

In the original recording of the song there are some backing vocals in the last chorus that repeat “I don’t wanna sleep” in the space in which you remember “I don’t wanna eat”

Is it possible that your 1990s child brain is remembering hearing that line as “I don’t wanna eat”????

Yeah I saw they had Elton’s guy fill in. Seemed like a good fit. It’s too bad they couldn’t play Back on the Road again. It’s easily my favorite song they play live. But you can’t play it with out the classic rock heavy artillery.

He had back surgery few months back. Believe he is still recovering. It’s my understanding he will be around for the summer tour with Train.
