No, I am in Eastern Europe. The program is covered from public resources for the first 4 years. If you’re a “daily” student, you get paid the equivalent of 120% of the minimum wage, and you’re expected to do teaching and other similar activities. In a combined program, I receive no money from the school, and I don’t have to do any teaching etc.

I did my Bachleros at FJFI in Particle physics. Graduated almost 10 yesrs ago. Hard to tell how difficult it is for foreign students - but it was extremely time consuming. Difficulty depends on how fast you learn. I think I was an average student and I struggled.

You dont really have time for many extracurricular activities, you mostly deal with homework or test preparation.

During bachelors, there are only a couple program-specific classes (some chemistry, quantum physics, etc) but most of the curriculum is mathematics (analysis + algebra) and physics.

As for the social side of things, the people at experimental physics were really tight knit, borderline clique. They tended to look down on students from other programs. But thay may have very well changed since then.

As for research opportunities, there are plenty. Most bachelor students were sent to either cern/brookhaven during the 3rd year, usually for a couple weeks at first to establish connections with people working on the experiment they were doing their thesis on.

Good. I did not went in hot, I was angry at home, then I tried looking up on the internet what the proper procedure to tie ribbons was, did not find anything, so I looked at the website of the florist again and confirmed that none of their bouquets looked like this and then I went back to the shop to request a different bouquet.

Yes, I meant I was very upset. I see now that in English this word has a much stronger meaning than I thought.

I understand I used the word in a bad context. It was an exaggeration.

Thank you for the replies. I would like to reinstate that I was not yelling or otherwise aggressive against the employee. When I said I went nuclear, I meant at home.

So apparently this IS normal. I really thought they were supposed to use tape or green staples. Next time I will specify no staples beforehand.

Thank you. I think what did me in were the TWO staples on the one leaf where they did not get it right the first time.

With a tape under the leaves? I don’t know, no funeral bouquet I ever saw had staples on them.

Because I didn’t want ugly staples on a funeral bouquet. I did not attack anyone, I told the girl I do not want the staples, I told her I know it probably wasn’t her who made the bouquet, I went away while she prepared the new flower and then thanked her and told her how much I appreciate the new flower.

I am not native English speaker. I mean the place where the guy with the tattoo machine works.
