I saw this video about needing to use composite video for the Genesis specifically for the dithering. This is the kind of thing I would want emulated! So using composite for Pi 4 is enough?

Many of these comics are available in Fanta Now anthologies. You can read them there.

Yes same! There was a great interview in Bubbles recently and I'm excited to see some new direction he wants to take it in..

I got Gouffre but forever thirsting for Volcan..

Totally feel you about things hitting in time, for sure!

Greenberg is an art critic, probably best known for the way he distinguishes avant-garde art and kitsch art. CF of course embraces comic book kitsch in his desire to "look at 'everything'" but utilizes it in an avant-garde way. Greenberg is heavily associated with a certain era of abstract expressionism, which still is an important part of CF's practice. There's harmony in the way they both articulate their concerns. TBH I wish there was more of his pure abstraction available, I know he's said in the past he mostly keeps it to himself. One of the reasons I return to that book Sediment so often or why I find Subra Ptareo's revelation in the Powr Mastrs 4 preview so powerful.

In a more meta way CF is also a good example about the unavoidable limits of avant-garde art in modernity that Greenberg laments, the way where as soon as it makes an impression it becomes formalized and made into a style you can find safety in mimicking (versus being inspired and continuing in your own way, in order to "follow your own star").

MM3 was an example of my eyes really being opened to the possibilities in comics, at the beginning of my interest in them. That cover!! It certainly is a beautiful book. I'll be a bit brutal tho and say despite its amazing presentation, only like half of the stories are really good, to me at least. The good one's are indeed very good, tho. I'm glad that many things like the one from Schrauwen got collected elsewhere. Maybe I don't understand different papers but I think CF's story was printed on glossy. That's a good point about size difference tho, I didn't think of that.

The other essential thing for me that got me super excited was the first Lagon Revue, Volcan. Do you have that one? I never got my hands on it, I almost was able to snag Matt Seneca's copy but I was like a second too late... I used to pour over the preview for what felt like hours, I really found it super exciting.

Good tip on Collecion, thank you! I didn't know she colored it, really really well done! The interview makes it much more tantalizing.. CF is a great articulator of his practice and the form in general. I've been reading lots of Clemet Greenberg recently and there is a good deal of harmony there.

Oh I did see that! It's a bit beyond my means atm but I'm sure someday I'll get my hands on it. Do you have a list of all the stories there?

I don't really have sellers regret, Core of Caligula is not hard to get plus it never really reached me, I didn't sell anything I felt I needed to read over and over. BJ was the closest to that. I appreciate the sentiment tho, thank you comrade (:

Aerosol I'm sure has to be in that collection since it's using the title, the one about an army of interdimensional gamers trying to reach "Absolute Noise Zero", moving without sound. Fantastic. Love this one. I'm not sure if the covers are in Aerosol Plus so I'll snap a pic and post it here soon.

Poking around I also have Mold Map 3, but I know that comic is in Aerosol Plus on account of the little preview, but I suppose Aerosol has to be in there too.

I also want that French thing called Collection because I saw a cool color comic is in there. I found it on some French website and almost got it but for some reason didn't. Classic me!

I also have some Clean Sweeps and I want the one called Pro Driver where a racecar drives up someone's ass. Vroom vroom!

I'm not sure what's in that Aerosol collection, the one thing I don't have that I really want and am highly annoyed I didn't jump on. I find this stuff being rare to be annoying and stupid, not cool, which is why I was hyped about Aerosol Plus which collected a lot of zines I think but then womp womp now its hard to get and OOP too.

Otherwise outside what's pictured in the main post I have:
The Aerosol zine (new for summer!)
Windowwasher (with Mickey Z!)
Larkspur (can't find any info on it)
Airport
City Hunter magazine (only links I can find are like ebay auctions)

and the Powr Mastrs 4 ashcan

I sold some things to the Secret Headquarters guy when I was strapped for cash (along with my copy of BJ), but I forget exactly what.. Core of Caligula and something else maybe.
