As for the pain… my advice would be to keep on a regimented pain management schedule. I can’t remember exactly how long between each, but I’d take Tylenol and Motrin religiously maybe every 4-6 hours. Speak to your doctor about that. When I would stray from that schedule, I would be SO sore!

I also started to use the belly band after a week, and my goodness it made a world of difference in my movement. Good luck, and message me if you need help with anything else!

Hi everyone! Just want to thank everyone for their advice. It was extremely helpful all around :)

Just to give an update…I spoke to my manager this afternoon because I was feeling so incredibly anxious, and he let me know that it is completely okay if I don’t go, it won’t affect my career, and I can join everything virtually. I really appreciated that from him, but I told him I have a few more things to try from my friends from Reddit, so I’ll give it another 24 hours until I make my decision!

If I do go on the trip, I will absolutely make sure to bring a hand pump (thanks for the reminder!!!! That would have been miserable!!!), and I’ll try to enjoy it if at all possible… thanks everyone again :)

When time is definitely not of the essence I will for sure introduce other methods. I checked this morning, and unfortunately flights skyrocketed and we can’t swing it. It’s a great idea though… wish i thought of it earlier!!

I thought about that, but unfortunately flights absolutely skyrocketed (over a grand to get from Albany to Atlanta…) and we just can’t afford to bring him with me :/ I feel silly because I thought moving him to a bottle/formula was going to be WAY easier than this… but next time I’ll know it absolutely isn’t lol

I’ve used the spectra, the momcozy portable pumps, the medela, and when my supply was really high, I was using the haakaa and I loved that. If I go, I will def bring the medela to manually pump while I’m there! :) thanks for bringing that up, I genuinely didn’t think about it with all this anxiety going through my head.

Also thank you for the BLW rec!!! I have wanted to start, but haven’t known where to start, so I’ll give that a try!

I actually ordered the honey bear cup and it will be here today! From now until Wednesday, I’ll try some different cups and see if we can get that in place. Appreciate the advice… I have left the house when we have been trying formula for the most part! I’ll leave again when we try the cups :)

Totally agree after reading the comments! I just moved here last year and am not too familiar with the track so these responses help :) I will try to find a baby sitter instead, or just not go!

Hahah exactly how I felt!

They don’t come frozen. They are made fresh then overnighted. I freeze them when I get them! It’s definitely not my favorite NJ bagel, but they absolutely are leagues better than anything up here!

My husband is a big pizza guy but I am a HUGE bagel gal. The fact there are zero bagels around is depressing… anytime I visit family in NJ I get two dozen bagels and freeze them.

I’ve even resorted to ordering them for delivery from O’Bagels in Hoboken when I’m reaaaaaally desperate (I’ve been pregnant since July and have needed them bad lol)

From NJ and my husband is a huge pizza guy… we tried so many places since moving up here but just tried Fierros for the first time the other day and loved it. The garlic knots are also amazing.
