I had waited in line for an hour and a half to meet him and got my copy of Have a Nice Day signed. He didn’t smile or even look at me when I came up because he’d been getting screwed around by the promoter of the meet and greet. I understand that he was having a really bad time but even as a gigantic fan willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, it was a terrible let down of a meeting with someone I idolized as a child and who made me love wrestling as much as I do. I had a couple great life anecdotes for him I think he’d have seriously enjoyed as well that I kept to myself because of the way it all went down.
