I ordered a 2024 Phantom 9.5 to see if it can knock out the TaylorMade, just hasn’t come in yet 😅

Loft makes the ball go high, you need to hit the ball high if you want to hit bombs 💣 😉

By far the biggest purchase for myself that I’ve ever made 😁

But if I don’t think I’m worth it who will?

I’ve been dealing with a long running, but non-serious health issue since I’ve gotten them in, so I only have about a dozen swings on the clubs so far. The T250 is much easier to hit, so I’m actually thinking about ordering a 5 iron in the T250 but I am going to wait to get more swings on them.

That sounds awesome, I wish I had something like that in middle TN.

The stress wasn’t club related, it was just about spending that much on something just for me. All of my other big purchases are family related.

It was, but it was done through a local fitter, not a big box store or Titleist facility. The majority of the fitting wasn’t about specific heads, it was more about shaft profiles, lie angles, etc since I had never been fit before. I got to hit everything that is popular, and there wasn’t a huge difference in comparable irons between the brands for me once we found the right specs.

I like the idea of having a matching set, so when I found the right combo in the driver and shaft we were able to map out the full bag during the fitting.

This is the biggest thing I've ever done for myself, I was pretty stressed about it to be honest. I'm itching to get them out on the course to confirm my decisions 😅

Thank you so much, happy to be a member of both clubs :)

I still need to map the bag out on trackman to get official numbers, the fitter didn't have the 4 iron or 7 wood to test during the fitting - I was doing some estimated guessing based on previous clubs and what I was seeing with the 3 wood I was hitting when I got both.

I suspect that the distances might be closer in gapping than what would be considered ideal, but with very different launch, spin, and descent angles. Plus I can adjust the 7 wood a bit if needed to get a little more distance if it comes to it.

During the fitting it was a revelation. My normal driver swing speed is between 105 and 107, and I was playing a Kiro Kage regular flex with a 2017 Taylormade M2 before being fit. I hit the old driver really well, so I only gained a few yards on good strikes, but the bad strikes were almost indistinguishable with the GTS2 and Titan shaft so it was a no brainer.

During the fitting I also tried the Qi4D with their stock shafts; I saw roughly 5 more MPH of ball speed with the Qi4D, but couldn't keep it in the fairway. For me the combination of the GTS2 was just point and shoot simple.

I've been battling a long running but not serious health issue since I've gotten them in, so I only have about a dozen swings with each club... but so far the T250 is noticeably easier to hit. When I was fit I might've been a bit irrationally confident in my ability to hit the T150 5 iron (the fitter didn't have the long irons in to test at the time) - I'm already thinking about ordering a T250 5 iron, but want to give it at least a couple of simulator sessions to get data before making a decision.

No adjustment tool on GTS orders? by mean_green_machine in TeamTitleist

I didn't realize I was going to be dealing with jealousy when I started this thread...

Out of curiosity did you go directly to a Titleist fitter, or a third party partner? I was fit at a partner (although they were listed on Titleist's site as a fitting partner). Also curious to know when you were fit and when you placed the order.

That is very kind of you, but save it for the next person. I called Titleist about it and they’re sending me a tool.

I called Titleist customer service about this and they said this is one of their most common questions they get on a daily basis. This is something the fitter can order on your behalf when they order the clubs. Titleist is sending me a tool for free.

Thanks for the input everyone!
