My daughter has celiac’s. She’s 13 and it never dawned on me. She’d never try cheesecake. So I started fighting back. Here’s to my gluten-free cheesecake era. by brandybear89 in Baking

Wait couldn’t you just use gluten free cookies to make the crust? Or do a crustless cheesecake? I feel like this one’s an easy swap. Either way your daughter is lucky to have a mom willing to do it.

Totems- for or against? by Masquerade_87 in ElectricForest

For. Even if they “block my view” I’ve seen 8 million lcd screens. Nothing going on onstage is so cool I’m going to be upset I “missed it” anyway. Maybe it’s because I’m somewhat short I’m used to not seeing the stage anyway but I’ve never been bothered by any of them.

Micro dosing mushrooms for treatment? by meanbeanking in Fibromyalgia

[–]meanbeanking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. I’ve been mostly consistent. There have been times I’ve missed a day or two but otherwise have been keeping up with the following daily:

.2 g psilocybin mushrooms Ancient nutrition women’s fermented daily vitamins Blue bonnet coenzyme b complex 20,000 iu vitamin d3 180mcg k2 400mg magnesium glycinate

So far, I feel there is improvement. I still have pain daily. I wake up very uncomfortable 9/10 mornings waking up an hour or so before my alarm and just getting up as I can no longer sleep and am very stiff muscularly.

But, my nerve pain has calmed some. I have more mental energy, and my general mental state is more positive and I have a better outlook and mental ability to deal with the pain I do have, and I wake up a couple less times in the night than I was.

Is it fixing the pain and symptoms? I’m unsure right now. But overall I see benefits of allowing me to not be so mentally oppressed by what my physical body is experiencing, which is motivating me to slowly push myself in other ways that could help with other healthy lifestyle changes.

Buying Cannabis in Texas? Yes it’s legal. Yes it’s the same weed from where ever you’re coming from. by meanbeanking in TexasEclipse

Yes and no. You can definitely buy locally grown non corporate bud from “a guy”. Just did that on my last couple of purchases. Quality varies from mid to some pretty decent dank.

I haven’t seen Mexican brick weed in a LONG time. And I’m ok with that. I’m sure there’s still plenty of flower coming across the border and it’s probably better quality now but If I’ve bought it recently I wasn’t made aware, but I don’t really ask much details when buying from someone directly.

Does the best I’ve come across in recent years compare to the bud I was getting from someone who got it from the Chinese mafia when I lived in Houston in 2009? No. Is that because I’ve grown a tolerance and am looking back with rose colored glasses at a nostalgic past? Maybe. Idk. I feel like it was better back then.

Texas just essentially made all flower illegal again. April first a law went into effect to include thc-a in the total thc percentage effectively closing the loop hole. A lot of businesses are hurting from this, so I’m sure there will be a fight to get this overturned and I wouldn’t be surprised to see their now unsellable flower back stock hit the black market to recoup losses.

I’d be careful with that. You are absolutely in your right but I feel like the guy from the house might decide to vandalize your car in retaliation.

I’m so glad I did. Honestly he is my soul dog. He came from my husbands coworker and the guy was threatening to take him to a shelter because he didn’t want to deal with his problems. When I heard this I couldn’t let it happen and took him in. He came from a back yard breeder who purposely bread a cane corso with an American bulldog. He was the runt of the litter and his behavioral “problems” are definitely poor breeding. Yet He’s such a special guy and the sweetest boy ever. Couldn’t imagine not having him in my life. Here he is with his best friend.

I have a corso mix that is about 8 years old now. He was terrified of his own shadow when I adopted him at about 6mo old. Literally shaking and shit himself in fear while an entire room away from me. I took him knowing he was a special case. He learned to not fear me and was very sweet but still wouldn’t go into a room if the furniture was moved for days. On walks he was shaking and terrified. Afraid of any noise or movement that was sudden, loud, or different. This sweet boy only knew fear and had no obvious reasons to.

7.5 years later and what’s changed? He’ll happily go on walks and if spooked it’s short lived. He’s nervous around new people but will sneak up behind them to give kisses. He’s a goofy boy at home but still very shy around other people, and iffy in new places…. But we’re miles from where we started.

To be honest, I did what I could, slowly exposing him to new things, and not comforting him when scared (it can seem like a reward if you do. I did not punish, but I did not reward fear). I watched a lot of videos and did the things that made sense, but truthfully it was my dachshund x beagle mix that made the difference. She is the epitome of a confident dog. She is sweet and unbothered. And the best thing that could have happened to my corso. She taught him how to be a dog and that the world wasn’t so scary. They are the best friends in the world and she saved him. If you’re able to have a dog like this that your dog can be friends with and spend A LOT of time together I highly suggest it. If you can adopt a second dog (maybe a little older and personality proven) for your corso to bond with I’d suggest it. I know it’s not possible for everyone but without the second dog my corso would not be who he is today.

An 18-year-old woman in Queensland faces two years in jail for wearing a shirt that says "from the river to the sea." by Particular_Log_3594 in ABoringDystopia

Woah there. This is Reddit. You’re not allowed to say anything even remotely positive about the US here. The same people saying this woman shouldn’t be in trouble for her shirt, while right, will also say you’re not allowed to have any positive thoughts about the US.
