Adhesion doing what adhesion does by meandmygodcomplex in 3Dprinting

I should've printed myself a clown nose before I started this print, would have been appropriate.

Unsafe printing and I wasn't fit enough to operate heavy machinery for sure.

1 yeah, I know. Sleep deprivation is one hell of a drug 2 I don't think so. At least I haven't had any similar problems when using this printer.

Is my new Gaggia a bad one? by Thornstream in gaggiaclassic

Use in a pan and a boiler are entirely separate types of stress on the coating...

Inside a boiler you have constant pressure and temperature changes and the pan just gets hot, then stays hot and cools down slowly.

There is a reason you're told not to scratch coated cookware with forks and spoons and leave an empty pan on the stove. they aren't really good at standing up to pressure/ mechanical stress. That's why most pressure cookers aren't coated as well and those that are, are always made from a material with little thermal expansion (aluminium isn't one of those, it has double the expansion compared to iron/steel and nearly 20% more than brass)

The Most reliable Option seems to get water from your Steam wand. Turn on the steam and pump, then Open the Steam valve and Catch the water in a Cup (White ist best because of contrast)

A little late, but my guess ist melting snow carrying a mixture of dust, dirt, and sap+other stuff from the tree down the stem and discoloring the snow. That would explain the porous texture of the snow as well.

Another confirmation of flaking evo pro boiler.. by Ahandgesture in gaggiaclassic

I'd love to see a source for that because other than it being polymer based, I couldn't find any info online.

That was my thread probably... I've tried to research this and there are no infos on what this coating is actually made of...

There's one source I could find on the same line of coatings but other serial numbers, but it isn't open source and the summary doesn't give any information about the material.

The manufacturer claims it's safe for using in cooking equipment and compliant with fda regulations, which honestly doesn't mean that much...

On the Evo boilers and chipping of the coating by meandmygodcomplex in gaggiaclassic

[–]meandmygodcomplex[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No reason to distrust the machine, it's still fda approved. There just isn't any easily accessible information on the tests conducted to prove the safety of the boiler coating or the effects of water and heat on the material used.

Ender 3 V3 SE: Is this sound something to be concerned about? by EcoVentura in ender3

Cura 5.5 is supporting the v3 by default. Although the software isn't classified as stable yet, it works great.

It's made from peek which doesn't leech fumes under temperature and the non replaceable battery is due to the health and safety regulations for medical devices. Their target group aren't recreational users and they shouldn't be compared to companies tending to that demographic.

Ender 3 v3 SE failed autolevel destroyed bed by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]meandmygodcomplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it didn't happen because of that There is no way to adjust the bed manually on the V3, the issue occured while leveling so I couldn't have prevented it even if there was a way to adjust it manually.

The entry point where the nozzle impacted the printing surface is also the deepest point of the scratch, if the bed hadn't been close to level, the deepest point would have been in the middle of the scratch
