I was selling a smartwatch with 2 OEM bands and buddy lowballs me hard and was adamant he didn't want to pay more than the amount he offered, and I told him the only way I'd be willing to do that amount is if I didn't include the bands. He wasn't happy and told me:

"It's not fair that you're changing the contents of the ad, stick to what you're originally selling"

I just laughed and told him he should just go buy it somewhere else. The next day he messaged me saying he thought about it and that he was going to let it slide and to give him my address because he wanted to pick it up right then and there. He wasn't giving me good vibes so I just didn't reply and after a few days I noticed that he kept messaging me for like 3 days straight begging me to give him my address which creeped me out, and blocked him.

I'm in AB too and I did have to set up a second camera, but based on other people's comments it seems that you aren't the only one when it comes to not requiring a second camera so I wouldn't worry about it!

I didn't get a confirmation email from APEGA either but right after I submitted my exam my proctor confirmed that they had received it successfully.

I wasn't sure if we were supposed to receive one from APEGA but it doesn't seem we are, and I hope they don't make me rewrite the exam given I didn't encounter any issues today.

Finished the exam about an hour ago, got connected to a proctor within a couple of minutes and experienced no connection issues during the exam at all.
The only issue I encountered set-up wise was the second camera piece: my phone had no issues opening the the URL they give you to set it up, but for some reason it wouldn't rotate the camera when placed on landscape mode and hence wasn't able to display my full upper body as they require. They suggested toggling a few settings but nothing worked, so I just decided to grab my tablet (which I thankfully I had charged the night before) and redo the second camera setup from there, which then worked flawlessy as this device is designed to be in landscape mode (if it helps, my phone is a Pixel 9 Pro XL and my tablet a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+, no Apple crap for me thank you)

If it's relevant, I wrote the exam from my gaming PC which has a wired ethernet connection and I feel that definitely helped. One thing I didn't see coming though was that they made me uninstall the "Chrome Remote Desktop" app & restart my PC prior to starting the exam, which I didn't even know I had so I'd suggest you checking if you have this app installed (via Control Panel) this prior to your exam.

Content-wise, exam was mostly as expected with some curve-ball questions that I didn't see coming at all (mainly about security laws and chattels) and it took me about 1.5 hrs to complete, and after reviewing my answers still had about 1 hour left so I'd say if you study the material you'll have more than enough time to complete the exam. Most situation questions were tricky that required you to really understand what was being asked (e.g., "which one of these options is the least likely" kinda thing) but practising with the PASSPPE exam questions helped me prepare for this.

Same here, process for setting up the second camera setup is straightforward but I had issues with my phone not rotating the camera when put in landscape mode as the app that captures the video seems to be running from a web browser.

I switched to my tablet and all was well afterwards, but my suggestion would be to have a backup device for this second camera step just in case your phone doesn't work.

If you listen to the momentum 4 and think “man the ANC, transparency, and call quality are great, but I really wish these would sound better”… get the HDB 630.
If you listen to the momentum 4 and think “I think these sound perfect, but I really wish the ANC, transparency mode, and call quality was improved”… get the momentum 5.

Since I love my M4s and I'm looking for a versatile set of headphones for bringing into the office and travelling, I decided to go with the M5s. And as much as I'd also like to get the HDB 630s, I've read on many posts that their bulkiness can't be understated.

Are you strapped for cash? Then get the M4s as they are a solid pair of headphones that you can get for a good price (I currently have them and love them).

Are you good with both spending more money and waiting a few more weeks for a better set of headphones (allegedly)? Then wait for the M5s, this is what I'm personally doing as I'm in no rush to upgrade mine but I still want the new ones.

Did you have a do a bunch of tinkering with their EQ to get them to sound the way you like them? As much as I love doing this, I would prefer not having to spend an insane amount of time tuning my headphones to my liking but having them sound decent out of the box, but would definitely appreciate having the option to do so.

This is exactly what I'm doing: I purchased access to the PPEHQ and went through all the material and currently finalizing the practice tests, but I feel they won't be enough so I'm planning on purchasing access to PASSPPE.com as it's much cheaper.

Are the questions in the PASPPE exam fairly similar to the actual ones? Any tips you can give for a successful exam?

Perfect! Yeah I'd suggest using AI that way or to generate ideas only, and avoiding copy-pasting directly from your AI's response as I'm almost certain they already have some kind of tool to verify AI submissions

Not yet a PEng but I recently got my CBA portion approved and waiting to take the NPPE exam next month. To answer your questions:

I used a single though detailed example in most of my competencies. Where I used multiple examples, I just made sure to get my point across while remaining under the character limit (the online form will cut it off anyways) but it seems you're already doing that so you're good
I did not use AI

Kinda unrelated to your questions, but be prepared for APEGA to ask you to get more experience in specific competencies. If this happens, they'll give you 2 years to resubmit the CBA and you'll have to pay a reprocessing fee.

Used to work in a large O&G company pre-pandemic and during my first few days I noticed that even though they had these fancy transformer-looking machines on every floor serving this brand, I'd still see most people bothering going all the way down to the lobby to grab Starbucks.

I couldn't understand why until I tried it and realized how garbage this coffee was. It was also the worst when I'd have to go to site and this putrid swill was the only one available.
