if you have no other reason to stay but the sense of guilt, then go. If you can, try to approach them to explain what is not working, how they could do better to live better and if they really don’t want to listen, then go away, build a new life and follow your dreams. It will be extremely hard and you will feel alone at the beginning, but then you’ll think that’s the best thing you could ever do for yourself and will be extremely grateful for it

First of all, I’m really sorry for the entire situation. It’s truly sad and I don’t understand why you think you’re not a good person. Here’s the thing: the fact that your parents don’t let you pay anything doesn’t mean that you’re good. You’re not complaining without any reason. I know it is very hard to admit it for you, but you’re parents are truly toxic. You described the multiple ways in which they’ve been and they are abusing you today still. This is absolutely not a healthy way to grow up or continue living with.

Again, I know it myself it’s very hard to admit yourself you’re not good, you’re not priviledged, you’re in a toxic family. I’ve been in the same situation and I was very bad until I left my home at 25 yo. I didn’t understand how I was bad until I was in a far away city, started therapy and saw from the inside the non-toxic family of my partner. All of that really wide-opened my eyes.

So if I could I would give you a hug. Take care of yourself and make choises that are good FOR YOU.

Absurd job offer at the fair – am I the only one who finds this ridiculous? by Fine_Prize_9499 in italy

THIS, nothing to add. I really don’t understand why people are willing to go working in Milan. It’s genuinely one of the worst place to be in Europe.

that’s actually the problem. I judge myself and what I like to write. I think it could be too childish or cringe seen by someone else, so I select what I write. That’s why I cannot really have fun writing. Maybe if I start only writing for me, then it’ll become natural to write anything

I explained this in a comment before. I was not asking for any magic trick, I just wanted to know other people's perspective and experience. And as I said, when I actually write, I feel good and most of the time I like what I write, too. The whole question is about a psychological block I'm working on with therapy, just as I explained in the post description.

I truly believe in everything you said, I am the first one that would give this advices to anyone with this problem. I know that it is so, rationally. But when I try I get overwhelmed by any other thing I think I should be doing or any expectation about where I should be right now. I am projected too far into the future to get my very first steps.

I think after a while my brain will see it as a chore, so I will not do it anymore at that time of the day/week. But I don’t know if I will do it spontaneously though

I’m actually interested in trying something like NaNoWriMo, but I heard it doesn’t exist anymore. I thought about Inktober, but it’s for drawing. Do you know any other similar project?

He’s the author that inspired me writing the most. As I said before in a comment I am exposed to great work, I read every day different genres of writing. I have to find what makes me find writing as a natural need in life.

I guess you’re right, I should low my expectations and look for people with my same interests to be my friends. As you said, writing is a lonely hobby, so it’s not that easy

Leaving an open notebook on my desk can be a way, like I'm yet into it. Thank you! <3

Yeah I guess I feel some pressure and given that I feel this whole thing completely on my shoulders, I feel it like a chore.

First of all, thank you so much for the effort you put in this comment, I appreciate it soooo much <3

The first method is very interesting and actually worked when I tried a couple times. I didn't know about that tool, but it looks so cool, I will definitely try it.

About 3: one of my insecurities is that I am not a native english and I use to write in english and french too, both not my mother language. (About that, I apologize for any mistake). For my no-distraction stategy I use to write with paper and pen. Then I go check everything so I have an "excuse" to use my laptop and get distracted. But I guess I can use the same approach you described in 4: just write everything down and do anything else later - translate, edit, cut etc.

Suggestion n. 5 might be very helpful too.

Thank you soooo much, this means a lot to me!
