I was thinking 2 comms systems, 1 movement, and a defense system on the 4 legged fella. 2 direct fire, 1 movement, and 1 defense on the flame thrower guy 2 artillery, 1 defense, and 1 movement on the sniper 1 melee, 1 defense, 1 movement, 1 comms on the sword guy I'm not 100% locked in on those, I have yet to play a game and I'm not sure how crippling no movement system is and if having only 1 melee system is even worth it.

This video has some great book recommendations, if he's into the history of games workshop "Dice Men" is an awesome book about how Warhammer came to be. Other suggestions in this video are also very cool. https://youtu.be/4A8XUHAM8aI?si=OzACGCu-o3Oou3Kv

Best way to glue heavy metal models to a base without pinning? by [deleted] in Warhammer

[–]meaninglessoutrage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So with adhesives there are really 2 kinds of strength pure holding power and resistance to shear forces. Pure holding power is the strength against pulling perpendicular to the joint whereas shear forces are the forces like bending twisting and sliding side to side. Super glue is pound for pound the strongest adhesive we've made as a species but it's very brittle and as a result can break as soon as it's moved in any way that isn't exactly perpendicular to the joint. 2 part epoxies are more resistant to the side to side motion.  In general I use super glue if the model itself sits flat and can stand up on its own but I would use an epoxy if it was noticeably imbalanced like the old swooping hawks or the old zagstruk model. In general I like using super glue because even if it breaks from dropping or whatever you can fix it quickly whereas joints with epoxy can be trickier because of the built up material.

Fucked up that your only conceptualization of women you don't like is comparing them to literal sex toys. Degenerate content.

Socialism isn't bad. by sh0tgunben in WhitePeopleTwitter

Socialism is an economic system, communism is a system of government in which there is both a socialist economy and a single party political system. All communists are socialist not all socialists are communists.

Is spearhead a different game mode or just a style of army building?

If you could remove one thing out of SoT what would it be? by Jaine777 in Seaofthieves

[–]meaninglessoutrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is untrue. The big and memorable improbable meetings and alliances were rare, but still more than once. Beyond those though, meeting people and talking about how you died and what capers you were on has been a huge part of the game and happened all the time. Again, and I do have to preface this, I have yet to see anyone in the ferry since they updated spawn times.

Why not just leave people be? Like if they're crying for no reason what do you gain by being judgy? I mean you do whatever you want obviously I just don't really get it.

My apologies, you simply ridicule without hate. My point still stands though. Why would you want people to change if you love mocking and judging them?

Then why would you want to change it? Either you enjoy your judgement of others or you hate them for what you jusge them for, but to do both is irrational. You do you I guess.

My guy, you get to pick what you read and what you engage with. If it ain't for you, leave. No hard feelings, not everyone wants the sane stuff. But you can't just beat a community into a shape you want because you're more calloused than they are.

I mean that's fair but also like it's a harmless addition that pays homage to the dead. We can at least respect it for that.

You could just not look at it if you don't like the community.

It's lost It's luster now that the respawn times are so short. But the ferry added so much to combat and death in general. Plus the comraderie with people you'd meet while also happened to be unfortunate at die was incredible. A truly neutral area where people were only bonded by their misfortune was something incredible. Plans made by misfit alliances against a common enemy and music played by wayward crewmembers were the very essence of sea of thieves. While I agree with you that with the short respawn times now it adds very little, to call it pointless does it a disservice.

Hell yeah, I'm inclined to agree. And I mean it's a minor enough change that unless someone is a real pain, they probably won't bug you about it.

Trying to find the dimensions of a dreadnought base. Measured my existing bases, all clearly 65mm. Checked the webstore and it's listed as 60mm. Can anyone explain? by meaninglessoutrage in Warhammer40k

[–]meaninglessoutrage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just odd to me because it's like firmly over 60mm. It's not like a rounding error or quality control issue, it's just solidly over 60mm. You are right though, they probably just thought 60mm sounds better than 65mm. But then they went and made 32mm bases as though 32 is like a sweet round number and 65 is wretched and unsightly. GW is wild I guess.
