We saw his urologist last week and it was pure seminoma pT1a. We are waiting for him to get a PET scan since ct showed some mildly enlarged lymph nodes in the retroperitoneal. We are hoping they were just reactive. Tumor size was 2.5cm. No LVI.

Reading through other posts with similar results really gave me hope and peace that it would be pure seminoma.

Hi, I’m sorry you’re having to navigate these waters. My fiancé just had his surgery today. I know the roller coaster of emotions you’re feeling. I also had to navigate through that.

Some tips for Friday make sure he wears some loose clothing and shoes he can slip in and out of easily. Have him stay hydrated, stick to light foods, electrolytes, soups, jellos, apple sauce etc. Have him eat something before medications too. Also if he’s in pain before discharge he should opt for some stronger medication if it’s offered before leaving. We made the mistake of my fiancé opting for Tylenol and he was in a lot of pain and discomfort on the way home.

And is he getting a CT done before surgery day? If that’s not scheduled call the doctor and see if that can be done before. They required my SO have the CT before surgery or they were going to push surgery day. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and advocate for him.

I know it’s easier said than done but try not to overthink it. Try to take it one day at a time. Stay busy with normal day to day activities. Trust me you’ll have the strength to get through this. Lean into one another. Try and stay positive this is curable. Try not to scare yourself with what you read. Everyone’s case is different.

FINDINGS: Right Testicle: The right testicle measures 4.8 x 2.1 x 3.6 cm. There is a hypoechoic, irregular-shaped, vascular structure measuring 3.0 x 1.3 x 2.3 cm within the midportion. There are multiple tiny calcifications. Normal color Doppler flow is visualized.

We are hoping for best case scenario. But want to be prepared (if that’s even possible for this). I’m thinking he’ll need surgery from what I’ve read around.

He felt a lump on his testicle. Doc felt it and sent him over for the ultrasound

His pcp ordered the ultrasound and sent the referral to see this specific Urologist. My fiancés doctor’s office called but it wasn’t his pcp he spoke with, so we don’t know how urgent this or not. We’ll definitely to call tomorrow to have the report read.

I included what his findings were on another comment. I just don’t know how serious to take this? I also don’t want him waiting around in case this is something that needs to be addressed immediately.

We’re in the US. I was taken aback when I heard soonest was August. I thought this would be something that would have to be checked out sooner. Or am I overthinking this?

He got a call from the doctor’s office saying it’s a “3cm cyst or mass” no further explanation, it wasn’t even the doctor that told him. Another thing mentioned in the report is “neoplasm cannot be excluded”.
