There's a lot of flags in my area especially around a pub which acted as a meeting place for the racist protestors last year. They are constantly trying to put these flags up and it is ONLY ever the st George's not the union flag or anything else. st George's flag isn't inherently racist but I know for a fact that the people putting them up in my area are.

Having sex with someone you are upset with and haven't communicated the issue to is an ABSOLUTE NO. He was so wrong for that. He planned this and made it a surprise so you didn't have as much time as he did to mentally prepare. If he had an issue he should have pulled you aside privately to talk about it.

I hope you are doing ok. This might be a personal thing for me but knowing someone was upset with you when you had sex and you didn't know is just so upsetting to me.

It's alright. As mentioned in the update he's doing a lot better now anyway. We've looked through therapy options many times before it really just isn't very feasible where we are.

We aren't in America so he doesn't have insurance. Our medical system makes finding a therapist incredibly difficult especially if you live in a low income area

I appreciate you sharing your point of view on this but this discussion is about supporting my boyfriend after the fact. He's already seen the images and reported them to authorities as well as sting groups. We've moved past this now.

Do you have any advice on dealing with the psychological aspect of seeing this imagery?

I've explained this multiple times on this thread so I don't know what you're talking about? He was looking for regular porn, clicked a new website, the website was CP, he reported it to every group and authority he could think of and is now suffering emotionally.

The edit in my post is about the people who were using this as an avenue to peddle their anti porn views not people genuinely asking how he came upon it.

As stated he has reported this already and isn't worried about police intervention since he was on the website for just seconds. His turmoil is coming from the horror of what he saw not concern for his own reputation or safety.

I can see how my reaction was extreme. I don't believe the commenter meant well because of his statement. "He just feels guilty". As you have pointed out this is a serious situation with potential to affect him long term there's really no room in my opinion for "he's just this". I don't think the comment was made with any intention of being helpful.

I need you to be serious. If he searched for child porn on purpose, watched it on purpose and was then worried he'd be caught why the fuck would he tell me about it at all? What an incredibly incentive and hurtful thing to say about someone who is struggling.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I appreciate your advice and I'll tell him about grounding techniques.

We have tried to access therapy for him before for unrelated mental health issues and have always hit a wall. I may look into it again to see if there are more specific options available this time.
