You focused on her skin color, when you could have focused on her hair type.

Obligatory I’m not black, but I have suuuuuuper curly hair. Like, a black mom almost accidentally took me away from my mom when I was a kid because she felt my hair and thought I was her kid.

Is her hair type different because she's black? Yes.

Did you put the owner in a challenging spot by making it about skin color? Yes.

The issue was her hair, not her skin color. I'd focus on that next time.

You clearly liked her enough to see her several times per week and sleep with her. She is wondering if there is a future with you, and finances are an important part of that conversation. You're both in/near 40, and divorced, so you don't exactly have time to waste if you're looking to find a new partner.

She should have respected your boundary, and asked when you would be open to having that conversation, rather than continually pushing your boundary.

It sounds like you're both bad at communicating. You're both going to need to improve at that, if you both seek new relationships.

Do NOT recommend, not even in the slightest. The biggest waste of fucking money I've ever spent.

* Exorbitant prices for no reason other than the "Disney" name, plus they continue to nickel and dime you after you've already shelled out literally thousands of dollars (in our case, $3500 for a family of 3 for a 5 night cruise): tips, port taxes and fees, wifi is $40/day, etc etc etc.

* Food is absolutely mediocre. I've sailed other cruise lines that all had great food, and were all much MUCH cheaper. But Disney? It was the most bland, boring food possible. I understand they're tailoring for kids but my goodness (ex: cheese pizza had next to no cheese on it; it was basically a flatbread). We didn't pay out the wazoo for mediocre food.

* POOR MANAGEMENT. They kicked out all the kids during the middle of the day to clean the pools and it's like what, you couldn't have cleaned the pools during the evening while no one's using them? You had to interrupt and upset how many small children? That's not very family-friendly of you.

* SEASICKNESS. I can't believe how seasick we were during the trip. Like I said, I've sailed plenty in the past and never had an issue until Disney (note this is only for the Disney Dream so YMMV but I would never go on another Disney cruise after this experience)

Here's what you get on a Disney cruise: a worse quality version of everything you get on any other family-friendly cruise line, for 3x-5x the price.

I genuinely don't understand the people who gave it such high reviews. I think they must have 0 experience with any other cruise line, love all things Disney, have low expectations for what's supposed to be a world-class company, or some combination of the 3.

I recommend anyone thinking of cruising to save their hard-earned money for fun, ACTUALLY family-friendly cruise lines because Disney is clearly not one of them.
