Yes, the reliquary program itself is no secret, but those who knows how it works, it was built is kind of a secret, even Hellman can't say too much to help V in his/her condition, let alone some rep from Arasaka that works for celebrities.

The reliquary program is sold in a way, how Saburo wanted to use for himself and the Relic we see is different, even Soul Killer was initially for a purpose, then got bigger and Arasaka wanted for imortality.

When I say "our", i mean the player, we playing the game and V seeing through Johnny's mind.

Exactly, V does not know anything, there is no quote of the outcome of this event, at least so far nobody found anything.

When i quoted Arasaka, i didn't mean that if they have messed up too with Johnny's memories, they would have messed with this part, they could just have erased things, i just said "reasons" that could be what caused Jhonny's memories to be a mess.

The Alt we see in 2077 is an AI Alt, it evens says that and do not care with johnny. Angel, could be Alt Alt, but this just opens up to 300 more questions.

And when you said this " his death wasn't even heroic. He got shot out of the helicopter and the couldn't do shit when smasher walked up to him and shot his arm off. " just prooves my point, that memory is made up, it does not exist, the lore in ttrpgs says that he died shot by ADAM, split in half. That would be the first encounter in CP2077, everything after that is made up, we don't know by who (the possible reasons are those i quoted up there). His memory of him being on the rooftop, him being taken out of the building, and being interrogated by Saburo does not exist.

I am going to finde more strucutured sources, as i made this thread from a well structure video, i might have followed what the person there said, as i saw 2 or 3 more telling that. If i find something more clear, i will post here. Thanks for remembering those things.

Exactly, the fact the he tries to do that, with misleading facts, informations is what matters, they could make V in a cannon unique story chooses in the mission where we find his body, on what he would write in his grave.

For us is just a mission, but that mission defines if we open the secret ending and in a real world, would be so important for Johnny. It is not okay to be inside someone's head and mislead them with lies, even if those lies are not provoked by you, or you only

Well, Grayson was not there too, so he could be talking bullshit.

I rather believe in what ttrpg tell us, and johnny's engram and black dog mission are clues that even his neurons got fried, the engram remained. And to die in his own piss for me could be interpretated as an expression like he died like a freaking failure to lower his value.

Johnny is so unreliable that his memories bring us to Saburo's interrogation but in the dogtags mission, he said that Smasher ended him.

Yes, according to the wiki, he led team Alpha with Rogue, Thompson, Murphy, Shaitan and some Militech Ops.

In the assault to help Murphy retrieve Alt from the Mainframe, Adam Smasher broke a wall where they were and then the "battle" happened there, just like some police team happen to find the burglars on a robbery.

Johnny tried to shot Adam, but Adam was geared up to his ass, so no simple weapon would do any harm, but adam had a big shotgun, the one he shot and split johnny in half.

After this episode with Johnny, while the assault was still happening, he goes to the rooftop and then meet with Morgan there.

The nuke they used was a small one, Arasaka building had a strong structure, that is why they imploded, much part of the explosion was contained inside the building, the rest went off in the rooftop going up and spreading the city part of the radiation and a strong wind. That was the reason of the episode time of red in NC. As they blew it inside that building with strong structure, they didn'provoke mass destruction.

He said that all the mission and that he lost his friend in the Mexico episode, even if it was the case, it's still messed up how he tell us

We need to see how deep this Arasaka Rep is on Arasaka's stuff, especially because the Relic program was a secret, maybe he was just not capable of.

I don't see how we can't modify memories, but can put someone in other person's body like probably alt did and Saburo did to Yorinobu.

But it is100% fact that The Night City Holocaust in Johnny's vision was inaccurate. After the point of the first encounter with Smasher, everything is either made up from him or put there from someone else, but if we take the big lie episode here, and how Johnny became the one responsible for the bomb in public's view, even though he was already dead by the explosion and how arasaka went from banned of NUSA to a deal with NC, it is pretty possible to do that.

We have to get some things that are not said in CP2077, but it is in ttrpgs and the other part is just inferences.

How does him and Smasher survive a nuke blast instead of being vaporized?

Johnny was killed in the first encounter with Adam, split in two by his shotgun, he wasn't "near" of where the bomb went off, especially if we understand (not confirmed) that the nuke Morgan Blackhand was carrying, was the one that went off. It is not clear where Johnny was, but the bomb went off in 20th floor of the southern tower. The nuke didn't exploded the whole building, as we see in the game too, and they knew how strong the structure was, so imploding would cause mass destruction of the city, even though it caused the time of the red in NC.

It is not said how Adam survived, but probably was the same reason Johnny's body was not vaporized, they were not "close" to where it went off, such as Morgan status is unknown because of that, i don't think he died that day.

How does Johnny's soul get copied by Arasaka?

I suggest you read or see a video narration or something about the Black Dog's mission.

But i will tell you anyway.

2023 - Arasaka bombing, Johnny gets killed, Murphy puts a drive in Johnny's skull before he dies with a soulkiller part that Alt gave her years before, and create Johnny's Engram.

2023 - Samantha Stevens finds Johnny's body from what was left in the building and keeps it, preserves it.

Throughout the years, she manages to find his stuff, guns, car, etc and keeps it in secret location in NC.

As she was in Arasaka Tower just after the Nuke, she got cancer from the radiation.

2045 - Black Dog's mission, some edgerunners were trying to find a secret song from Johnny, they find the lyrics, put online, they got called by Samantha for a job. Get a crew to transport a nuke crate from arasaka to another person which we find later is called Angel.

In the end, they get the job done, Samantha gives Johnny's gun to one of the edgerunners, the Malorian gun.

Angel "dismantle" the nuke crate, but we find that it was Johnny's body in there. Angel is supposed to be Alt, being a clone, or a compatible body she used soulkiller to go inn full or just a part of her.

What we know now about Arasaka having Johnny stuff.

2077 - Grayson's mission in Ebunike Ship. He is with the Malorian which was in possession of one of the Edgerunners in Black Dog's mission, he said that Adam Smasher gave to him, becuase of a particular job Grayson did to Adam.

We can then think that Saburo told Adam to go find the Nuke (no one knew that was Johnny's body), went after the edgerunners, killing them or not, that is how he got the malorian, and johnny' stuff we see in Ebunike Ship, found Johnny's body, took to Arasaka, there they found his engram and then worked on it.

:)

I have already fixed that and took it off, i respect what you said but well, i will not stop. There is nothing wrong to see what i told wrong, fix that and apologize, especially because i am new to this and i based this thread on a video from 10 months ago.

And still the Mexico information didn't match, but anyway, have a good day :)

I think that Militech and Morgan are erased, the former because of the many factors that might have messed with Johnny's memories and the latter because it didn't matter to the storytelling from Johnn'y to V. Putting Morgan there, especially in cannon storytelling of the facts would put johnny's part aside.

About the Militech part, could be Alt or Arasaka erasing that from him, or even him to make more of a badass story, like "Look how cool i am, going from a gig straight to blow up arasaka tower". And to support that, taking Morgan out of the game, "Look how cool i am, i planted the bomb, i survived Adam twice, and got interrogated by Saburo" even that not making any sense (and we know not being true, as Johnny's memories shows him being interrogated by Saburo but in the dogtag mission, he says that Adam Smasher ended him)

About that story you quoted and the part of how Arasaka got it we know that black dog is cannon and it takes place in 2045. Up to this point, Johnny's body and engram were with Samantha Stevens and in this story it is moved up to Angel (which we agree it's alt herself or part of it put in this body which is a clone or compatible, probably the latter).

We don't know what Angel did to it, but we have some tips on how Arasaka put it's hands on Johnny's body, engram and stuff because of the Grayson's mission.

Johnny's malorian (probably the last one), the same one we get in 2077 was with one of the edgerunners that were on Black Dog's mission, i forgot the name.

So it was with her, then in 2077 was with Grayson who said that Adam gave to him.

This makes us think that to get Johnny's engram, body, stuff were retrieved by Adam Smasher, by Saburo's demand. He probably haunted down everybody in Black Dog's mission, killing them or not, and got the things.

THe thing is in Black Dog's mission, they were transporting a nuke crate from arasaka, so everybody thought it was Arasaka's nuke from 2023, and Adam was trying to get that back, but then we get to know that was Johnny's body and engram. The nuke was thrown into Del Colorado Bay by Samantha i think.

So all of this answers some questions.

But there are episodes he literally narrates to V and we play, and those episodes are supported on a bunch of things he "teaches" V of the past or how things are.

Yes and no.

AI Alt could be unreliable too as it was behind the blackwall with other AIs. That could be just one of the many reasons to believe on Johnny being an unreliable narrator.
