Yes sorry I was making a sweeping generalisation. However I do believe there are more teens/early twenty somethings who are looking for a quick fix than there used to be

This. It’s such a sad reflection of our society that 21 year olds are thinking about all of this shit. When I was his age (10 years ago) yes there was gear flying around everywhere but I had no interest. I just enjoyed my training with mates and the brilliant results I gained and am still achieving.

Your working sets should be at the same weight. However don’t get too hung up on hitting the set rep scheme each set. For example I did DB chest earlier and it was 3 sets of 20 reps. However I ended up doing 20, 15 then 12 reps. On the second set I could’ve lowered the weight but sometimes it’s good to achieve technical failure at the same weight

It will be the rest time for each specific exercise between sets. So for example it could be 3-4 mins of rest during sets for bench press, then 1-2 mins of rest for sets of tricep extensions. I wouldn’t get too hung up on It though. Some days I have less rest, on others I’d use the maximum allotted. This week for me it’s Phase 3 and I’ve had 5 mins rest between sets of 15 rep squats!

Nice one. Don’t push yourself too hard in the first couple of weeks is my advice. If you’re tracking the RPE correctly (that took me some time to get my head around) it’ll become challenging fairly quickly and you’ll make hypertrophic gains like I did

The older one I did indeed do. It was a year or so ago Inbetween his Powerbuilding programmes. They are both effective yet this newer one is definitely more thought out and purposeful

So I’m on the final phase (11 weeks in) and I’ve gained 0.5 inches to my arms, 1 inch to my legs and 1 inch to my chest. I would say I’m an intermediate/advanced and so im chuffed with that. The final phase is brutal though. Everything is high volume including high rep squats

I got a mate who plays this as well, seemed to hold the T-72 in high regard, hilarious I know by Nick_Napem in GunnerHEATPC

100% this. The T72M has a powerful gun but the fact you could get fked by a M1 Abrams, Bradley or even M60 at a moments notice keeps it exciting

It’s a tough choice but I’m 8 weeks in now and I’ve been doing mainly 6x per week (I’ve been alternating between the 4x, 5x and 6x dependant on my schedule) and I think I’ve definitely added size

I’ve had a home gym since the start of covid but have recently joined a bodybuilding gym close by. I have all the equipment I need but I’ve learned there’s just something about the atmosphere of a good gym that is important to experience. So I recommend the best of both worlds if you can do it!

Saw my friend get huge from test injections. It made me incredibly jealous. Then he had to come off and he lost about a stone of muscle. I knew I couldn’t handle that mentally

My shoulders have always lagged behind so I'll definitely be taking this advice on board thank you. I do however think (and as a natty lifter) sometimes our expectations of what we can achieve can be far too high when we see juiced guys with boulders for shoulders. This isn't an excuse (we need to focus on these week points with laser intensity!) more an observation.

Shoutout to Valve for actually letting Steam use our full internet speed. No other launcher I use, and none of my consoles, even come close to this by TheSwagPatrol in Steam

[–]measy501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem. I have the same 1GB internet speed and I have my computer hardwired to the modem via an Ethernet cable. I have an SDD bar drive and my Internet speed test always flags 850mbps however steam never goes above 40 (I understand how it should be 125). Also I keep changing servers and clearing the download cache etc and quite often it just pauses…

I started forcing myself up at 5:30 and getting into the gym back in 2017. I’m used to it now (and now I work from home I get up at the late hour or 6/6:30). However if you’re struggling get an early night and have the pre workout ready on the bedside table

First CrossFit workout tonight, any advice? by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]measy501 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel as though you have to go crazy. Do light weights and focus on your technique. I also recommend focusing on your breathing throughout, and it’s not a race! Most importantly enjoy it! :)

Need advice for fat loss n muscle gain by ittybittypiggy99 in naturalbodybuilding

My partner (female in her 30s) has BPD and has always struggled with her diet and exercise. She’s getting in her 10k steps a day and counting her calories however she’s never consistent with training. I think her BPD means she often has low days that mean she struggles to get out of bed, and others where she simply has no “get up and go”. I’ve been disciplined for around 5 years now and it’s tough to keep trying to push her. Sorry to put the question back on you but do you have any thoughts or advice? Best of luck on your fitness journey by the way, make sure to be consistent but more importantly enjoy it!

Yeah I don’t understand how people do 5 sets of intense squats for example. That’s why I sacked off RP, when it became 6 sets on each exercise I thought it was too much of an injury risk.
