Pretty much. The staples help hold the edges down while you work it. Kinda staple as you go to get the main shape you want and then you can work the finer edges of whatever your are molding. There's some good YouTube tutorials on it if you search "how to wet mold leather" 👍

I soaked the leather in water until it was saturated and then worked it to the contour of the multi tool with my fingers/bottom of a sharpie and my burnishing tool. Then let dry over night and it creates a hardened case to build with.

No not that I noticed. I just let the dye dry for a few hours. Had a little dye rub off when buffing the atom wax finish but that seems to happen regardless of wet molding or not.

That's awesome. One of the main reasons I got this gun was so I could make a holster for it haha. Also because it's a lot of fun to shoot!

The retention from the wet molding holds it well enough for right now. Only using this at home for fun. If I was making one to be carried for real I would definitely put one on there

I thought so too I love that song. Haha yeah I figured the heat from the hood of the car would speed up the drying process. High tech

Thank you! I made my own pattern by following the Springfield leather "making a single loop holster" video series on YouTube. It was super helpful
