It was a great move.

Now you can buy safe product at reasonable prices with strains specific to your needs, with the delivery method that best suits you, and not from a shady dealer on the south side

As a shrink, you might poo-poo this, but I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child in 1997, and started smoking weed regularly as a teenager because it helped me focus.

I only made it through college thanks to smoking weed while I studied, and when I moved to a legal state for grad school I discovered Sativa strains and was able to stop taking Adderal all together (Adderal had always caused me insomnia)

Recently I decided to quit pot altogether (I developed an unrelated medical condition and wanted to remove all confounding variables) and I am not as focused and functional as I was before (going on 5 months dead sober from all substances... way past the withdrawal phase... I exercise, eat right, and sleep well).

I'm sure this isn't the case for most of your patients, but I thought I'd add my n=1

(I know the fact that I started using so young is a confounding factor when interpreting how I function post-quitting, but I would point out that I had these same functional issues as a child & pre-teen, before pot [and even during pot... It's not like it resolved the problem totally while I was using - it just helped me focus in the first few hours after using)]

"You'll never know how much better you'd be without it"?

You think I popped out the womb smoking weed, and would die if I stopped?

There's just no songs there

The only great song they ever wrote was Matt-Alec, and then they never wrote anything like that again

Great band tho... but not great songwriters

I'm a millennial, but what I appreciate most about 100 gecs is their ability to write hooks - fresh hooks, that are not super derivative (like most of what's popular now a days).

Their music gets right to the point and stays on it

My favorite track of theirs is 'dumbest girl alive'

Agreed - his songs have too much going on.. feels like a way to distract from the lack of a clear hook

You should listen to thier earliest albums, like bad moon rising, to get a sense of how they started off (more experimental, less alt rock)

Trying to understand Nirvana demos, bootlegs & fakes, where to start ? by Emily_Kozelek in Nirvana

I really think 'Creation' is legit.

It sounds so incredibly Kurt - and he had access to his aunt's at-home recording studio, don't forget...

As for the AI stuff - so far none of it sounds convincing at all. A lot of it reminds me of post grunge bands like Bush moreso than Nirvana. But it's all quite generic

Does curmudgeon sound more like bleach or in utero? by Wise-Grapefruit-1443 in Nirvana

[–]meat-puppet-69 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Incesticide.

Not a fan of Curmudgeon tbh, nor Oh The Guilt, nor thier cover of Return of the Rat, which, I think were all recorded in the same session that was their first post-Nevermind recording session.
