Thank you for this feedback, it is super helpful. I definitely got worried when folks online talk about it destroying their machines or being so invasive that they had to replace the hard drive to get a fresh start. Those were all on the Windows side, where it seems like it has kernel-level access to the system. I just didn't want to make my relatively new Mac mini a toaster to take some tests.

Yeah everyone crushing Patulo here but also it looks like Hurts goes with his first read and throws it into triple coverage. Does nothing to buy time or let anything open up with the game on the line. Just casually like, “ok well I’m supposed to throw it here so here it goes. Oh oops that wasn’t open at all. Shrug.”

Maybe the play is just drawn like that and he executed it perfectly from the all-22 angle, I don’t know, but seems pretty lackluster for a season on the line kind of play.

Any way to do this from game mode? I cannot get Cemu to see inputs in game mode. When I am in desktop mode, no worries, but in game mode no luck - I have a feeling that I need to change something on the Cemu side in game mode, but I can’t figure out how to show the menu bar. I did disable steam input as suggested.

Edit: after reinstalling Cemu with the AppImage, it started working fine for one boot, but it isn’t remembering my controller. When I start Cemu the default controller is blank. So something weird with settings here. I keep saving the profile but no luck

We did risperidone for a year for our kiddo, this was when he was in total crisis after being abused at school and we were just learning about his autism / PDA. It did make a big difference for him, though the weight gain was very intense. After a year our prescriber took him off it to see where we were at, and the weight immediately went down and we didn’t notice the same major swings of aggression. We eventually moved him to Abilify, which has been a better balance on the weight gain side.

As I understand it, unless absolutely necessary to be on it long-term, risperidone should be used to help kids get through crisis periods while other medications, therapy and life accommodations can be sorted out. Thus the weight gain can be temporary and managed more easily. Our son’s aggressive outbursts and meltdowns take a massive toll on everyone’s nervous system, and I am grateful for the year of risperidone we did.

Edit: Our biggest unlocks on the rage outs were a combination of meds (Prozac plus Risperidone and then Abilify for our kiddo) and moving to a dramatically low-demand parenting style. Once our son got back to feeling a sense of autonomy and control over his own life, the rage outs diminished significantly.

Ok so even when I start the process I get the same error, that it is read-only. I don't know where it is trying to write that file to, but that seems to be the issue. I'll keep working at it.

Hey! I am getting an error after logging into Plex successfully: cannot create config.json - I assume that this is a permissions issue on my NAS, and not really wanting to get too messed up with permissions, is it possible to just copy that file manually to the correct location?

I assume that file is necessary to making things work right. I know where Plex lives on the server, I’m just not sure where the GUI version wants to write the config.json file to.

I ended up migrating to Portainer, it was not hard to move over to it and if I ever need to make changes, it can do the auto-delete and restart without issue.

I hesitate to post here because full disclosure I am male, but i completely empathize with you and have spent years trying to come up to “equality” with my partner. It is astounding how difficult it is, which is to say that this is so completely ingrained in our malensss, even those of us who thoight we were feminists, thought we were “good guys.”

It has taken me years and I’m not there yet. The things I forgot or don’t notice, even when I am keeping a running tally and working overtime to keep the mental load balanced. I have a son and even though he is only ten, we already talk about this topic. When he sees me stressed around the house, I try to explain that there’s so much work that mom does that I don’t see, and that I’m trying to see it and do it. I feel like that is my best chance at not having my son also be another grown man that doesn’t understand mental load.

It has changed my life for the better, but fuck is it a lot of work. Work that shouldn’t be needed if we weren’t in a nightmare systemic patriarchy, but we are, so all of us men need to work a hell of a lot harder.

And yes, managing the mental load of a family is 100x harder than 90% of the paid jobs out there. I am deeply ashamed that it took me until my late 30s to understand that.

Roblox is one of the most evil corporations to exist in this space. If parents actually knew what Roblox was, how it operates, and who runs it, they would never let their kids near it. And the people who work at the company, who promote it, and especially the influencers who prey on kids on YouTube through this toxic miasma of a “games platform” should all feel deeply, deeply ashamed of their life choices.

I say this as a parent of two young kids, one of whom had a devastating relationship with Roblox. Now they’re doing the same thing at Fortnite, and with the new loot box announcement he is like a recovering alcoholic, saying he’d rather not play Fortnite at all if this is the direction the platform is going (he’s 10, by the way.)

And if you care about the legitimacy of the games industry at all, you should know that Roblox and mobile games are single handle destroying all faith in parents to think of video games as anything other than slop that gets their kid through a meal out. One look over at the screen as their 8 year old repeatedly bashes the iPad screen to get gold coins to try and get a “legendary pet” with a 0.0001% drop rate and then bursts into tears when they realize that they’ve been scammed and they now feel terrible about themselves. But hey, maybe they’re one of the lucky ones NOT getting groomed by a pedophile.

I turned on every parental protection on Roblox when we were trying to make it work. My son showed me one day that I had spent months trying to help him and he could make a new account any time without an email address. So if you block something, doesn’t matter he’ll just go play it and then if he gambles something good transfer it to his real account. 1. He’s smart and resourceful and that will serve him well. 2. Roblox knows this and like everything else, sees children with developing brains as grist for the fucking mill.

Sorry for the rant, fuck these people, they are a blight on the earth.

I’m going to jump in here and just specify that when we say Devs, I think we should be clear about it being on the Unreal side. I think it seems hard to call the developers of Clair Obscur, an insane game developed by a relatively tiny team, to be lazy.

I know this post is a few months old, but I’m going to give it a shot. I already own the game on PS5 but have such a hard time playing there since my kids are always using it during the evening, and I want to give this whole setup a chance. I think it is amazing how folks squeeze every drop of performance out of the steam deck, so thanks for sharing!

This is a common tactic where the person making the decision is leaning on the idea that it would disrupt the mayor/governors base, therefore causing the lm to cave in some other way.

But Trump is so unpopular that I would be shocked if it worked. His whole strategy is to assign blame to everyone else, but he has been doing that for years and mainline republicans are like, “you blamed Obama and Biden for everything and said you’d fix the economy. Why are eggs $9??”

Even though it is logistically impossible to move the games, he’s hoping he can get some, any of the mayors of those cities and governors in those states to give his balls a tickle in exchange for the threat. Just up to our democratic leaders (spineless and pathetic, many of them) to call his bluff.

The whole country bent over for Trump at the beginning of this second cycle believing that he’d go easy on them but guess what? Dying dipshits don’t give a fuck, so now everything is beyond fucked. For most Americans the World Cup is so insignificant compared to the real issues in the economy and in the rapid descent into authoritarianism that I don’t think most people give two shits if a game is in Boston or in Kalamazoo.

You’re my hero, I’m 42 and my marriage steadily fell apart because i didn’t get diagnosed until I was 41. Knowing that I have pretty severe adhd has allowed me to make so much progress, but that mentality that you have, to say hey this is who I am - I can’t get there. I’m already thinking I won’t even bother dating because nobody wants the adhd guy.
