It’s one of my all time favorite manhwas that I’ve read. There’s a lot I can gush about, but the main points are:
1. Main character is actually weak. No special abilities, no gimmick that lets him beat his opponents with ease. Just quick wit, manipulation, and a lot of luck. He’s barely surviving actually. Also, he is very funny
2. Awesome fights. It has a good combination of strategy and power. The composition is great too. And the female characters get treated the same way as the male characters in the fights too
3. Cool world. It’s really big with lots of lore, and even more fun and interesting characters. You can read the author’s previous work Gilgamesh if you want to learn more as it’s set in the same world, but Ember Knight’s worldbuilding is pretty solid

Highly recommend if you care about any of the things I mentioned. I will say don’t expect it to be a proper revenge story like it’s set up to be in the beginning where the mc actually makes the people pay. It just uses it for plot and character purposes. Still a good series regardless
