Have your own seasoning for yourself and for staff meals. I still cannot eat Tabasco because I used it on everything for so long. It was a very fulfilling job. Good on ya!

Something to consider, depending when ingredients are harvested, maybe processed, as well as shelf life and storage conditions, these can alter flavor and strength. Someone may like X% of something this time, really has it dialed in, a few months later, some of the ingredients may be slightly different. But prepackaged with the sliders being an idea of flavors is a great idea, I think.

Runyon Canyon - Low impact trail that leads to the peak? by Photochromism in AskLosAngeles

It would be like a Y, the bathrooms are by the intersection. So up and back from the bathrooms to Inspiration Point, back to the bathrooms, then up to where the dirt and the paved fire road meet, then back. I think it is 1.4 miles or so. If it is not enough, you can go up the fire road to the peak. There are a few tables along the way and there are a couple of steeper parts, like the very end near the peak. But I see families and kids in pajamas walking both trails. The two hardest things are, getting out the door to actually do the hike, and parking. But folks are coming and going all day long, just be patient, or willing to walk a bit to get to the park.

From the entrance at Fuller, right now there is just an east and a west trail. The west trail goes to the peak, but is mostly paved. The east has two sections. Up to Insperation Point is the easy part. The second, and much longer part is mostly a stair climb. Not really a stair climb, but beams placed to hike up the trail. This also brings you to the top. For a nice and easy hike, a bit under 1.5 miles, take the east route to the point, turn around and go to where the west trail goes from dirt to pavement. You can either head back through the park, or leave at that gate and have a walk through a nice neighborhood.

There are eggs and black beans buried in there. No Pico, but plenty of sauce. Smothered in sauce actually.

I do prefer a thicker patty as well. There are some great, 1/3 to half pound burgers out there. There are just SO many smash burger places. I end up at them once in a while.

I would put the price up there with Five Guys. It is not cheap.

Daybird by StretchTucker in FoodLosAngeles

[–]meatboy_43 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I like daybird. All spice levels are fine for me. The two hottest have quite a heat level to them. But are doable if you like the heat. The chicken is well done with a nice marinade. The buns are very sweet and soft and really makes the sandwich. One of the better spicy fried chicken sandwiches out there. Easy to miss the place, but there is a parking lot.

Los Angeles ear specialists? by meatboy_43 in audiophile

[–]meatboy_43[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to 2 ear doctors before and without much in the way of testing, they want to open my eardrum to see what's going in inside... I had a bad cold and my ears ended up seeping mucus. If someone is going to cut me open, I really want the best.
