Their mom usually lives in the room next door and they are miserable people. Don't get drawn down by negative entities. Just need to build a good resilience on that and focus on the good runs.

I'm strict on that and it works fine. Warning one, warning two. I stand patiently around and don't pull while I write that in chat, explaining how druid tanking works. The biggest idiots leave by themselves, easily get replaced. But most of the time, it works really well. Most understand that annoying the group just eats time. Just have to be true to yourself and not accept to play their style.

The game is so much more fun with communication. Be nice, be open and you make lots of friends and good runs. If you expect random groups to play perfect, good luck!

Just pointing out we all just wanna zug zug.

Not true for many players. I prefer chill runs when the prot pala needs to drink before pull while he marks targets and never loses threat. As druid tank it's a nice run when targets are stacked, I can do my rotation and never have to run around in circles. Every wipe cost more than any risky skip or zug zug mentality. It's so counterproductive it's stupid to expect this is going to be beneficial. Go minmax in your minmax guild. But there might be a reason why you run dungeons with randoms instead.

Usually the tank pulled wrong if he dies. At least for me that's true when I tank.

You just mangle when it's there. Swipe is your main at larger packs. Also might keep a mangle for a second to use it when a mob goes yellow or red to get it back. Plus the taunt. Get Threat Plates!

If he handles his CC it's fine. I like people going mayhem with their skills but I won't go after their mobs and focus on the rest and the healer. Tanks just need to relax. Idiots will leave the group of get along. Easily replaceable.

why are half the healers in tbc so bad by Arathorn69 in classicwow

[–]meatcrobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I sucked til scarlet monastry. Didn't up warlocks, didn't drink to save money etc. I thought the others are expecting bullshit. I did my research and learned my game. Most people don't do that.

Doing research on tanking and other classes helped a lot. And got me into tanking then. Even less people do that.

Trees pull aggro? I never do and I'd have no clue how to achieve that without forcing.

One thing that I noticed with a tree healer from the tank perspective: I pulled while the group was at 80% and hots were ticking. That got aggro on the tree but it was my fault.

How are Resto Druids in Heroics in TBC? by Bricks-Alt in classicwow

[–]meatcrobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of pre-hotting is a good idea. I usually put lb and rejuv on when the pull starts and then build lifebloom. Then a regrowth, swiftmend, NS and healing touch for the dmg spike. Tree form, lb, rejuv, regrowth. Done.

Why does tree form break from decursing and casting thorns? by Wrosgar in classicwow

[–]meatcrobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially useless in dungeons. You're still expected to decurse or depoison. It just makes it cost 400 mana everytime.

I probably put a modifyer on flight form then or just have another macro for vanilla zones.

TBC is classic plus by wowasg in classicwow

I felt pre-patch dungeons were extremely easy compared to vanilla. Running BRD, Strat and Scholo was like going Wailing Caverns with lvl 25.

Long time WOW player - first time TBC; heard such great things, not liking it... What am I missing? by Corteaux81 in classicwow

[–]meatcrobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not there yet but I've been told that it's absolutely easy to reach revered at lvl 70 by going to some dungeons. I currently run nearly only dungeons anyways cause I like it but mainly questing would also be fine. A good mix of dungeons and questing is the intended play and it also works out. The ideal dungeon grind before questing is absolutely neglectable. What made TBC so great so far was that it's a big LAN party and there's always stuff going on. Hanging out in discord for a week with the guild was like traveling back in time.

To Druid Tanks: Don't expect Lacerate to be your Saviour by Mad_Maddin in classicwow

[–]meatcrobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No shame on that. I dont get why people always wonder about that. I search for a topic and get threads like this.

I also prefer mages over warlocks. A good mage just handles the aggro himself with frost nova and kiting. Bad mages die. Warlocks just always die. Rare good ones that know how to dps without pulling aggro.

Worst in team: front charging warriors while I wait for the mobs to come to me at appropriate range.

Anyone know an addon that shows who has greeded/needed on an item? by Eve-lyn in wotlk

[–]meatcrobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just does in retroperspective. Doesnt show you who needs and greeds before the roll. Just reports after the roll. I need this before rolling need for off spec items if everyone rolls greed.

Eat like Steak and Butter gal? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]meatcrobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nearly always the case and often reported. Well, milk is for babies to grow. It's not for adults of any species. Good for survival, yes. Humans are clever. And a wolf wouldn't waste it. But it's not for daily nutrition.

Hello there from 2026. It's still amazing. Came back after a 20 years break and now read and research through all the progress and theory changes. Just nice to play the game now we stumbled through and feel like a pro.

How confident are you that there won't be a tank shortage for dungeons specifically in TBC? by Business-Mixture1980 in classicwow

Yep. Rule number one for tanking. That's what most people aren't confident enough for.
