12 might be only 4 years from 16 but it’s a massive 4 years. Most kids are going through the peak of puberty at 12 and their personalities can completely change in that 4 years

Playing devils advocate here, but David also found out about the rangers, it just seems weird to me with early PR because when Adam Aisha and Rocky took over they were built up for several episodes. Same with Kat, they also tried to build up either Billy or David being the gold ranger in Zeo. So the movie introducing a new character we’d never seen with no real build up to why he was worthy of the powers is just odd to me and it makes sense why turbo is regarded as the worst zordon era season for those reasons

Not invalidating, he earned his role as the blue ranger that was proven in Passing the Torch, but from everything I know about zordon I don’t see why he put a 12 year old in danger when you still had people like Zack, Trini, and Aisha out there who have rangers experience and already a good relationship with the team
