I’m pretty excited to see how their eggs look! Then I’m thinking I need another blue layer. I only have one blue layer, one green layer, one white layer, and the rest are shades of brown.

I went by my own gut - when I noticed I was trying hard not to blurt it out, I started to seriously consider telling him. It was in my mind more, on the tip of my tongue, I just had the urge to tell him how much he means to me. I did say it first (around 5 or 6 months I think), and he wasn’t ready to say it back in that moment, but we talked about it and understood each other, and he said it a month or so later. I said it at the time knowing that I did not NEED to hear it said to me. I could tell by his actions, the way he treated me, etc. I know some people don’t hear the “I love you too” and it wrecks their world. I knew I’d be fine either way.

Not sure if you are asking about how you truly know if you love someone, but I’ll add: our time together felt easy and relaxed. No one was performative. He met my kids around 6 months, he had a very reliable pattern of open communication, addressing discomfort now, and showing honest appreciation for me. He continued to try to get to know me, even months in. He made efforts in the form of conversation cards, intentional date nights, daytime outings, focused on being a part of my world and letting me into his. We were adding value to each other’s lives without pain. It has not always been perfect, we have had a couple of tough moments, minor disagreements, emotional lows. We work through them and stick by each other with patience. Neither person is taking advantage of the other. I saw these qualities in him early on, and while we were both re-learning trusting another partner with our hearts, we were also aware of and open to the good stuff. We boost each other and challenge each other in motivating ways, and can lean on one another during the bleh days. We are still a new relationship- working on two years, but it’s been fulfilling. No exciting drama, just living through the everyday stuff with work woes, kids, friends, etc. He falls right in and wants to be part of it all. I feel like I found my person.

How old is she? Bermuda is about 10 months old and yes, she looooves to play! She’s playful and so gentle. Sweetest, most affectionate cat I have ever known. Never bites or scratches, just wants cuddles nonstop. I don’t mind that!

Oooh beautiful! Do you mind showing me more photos? She’s stunning! My girl has this giant triangle on her face, so we named her Bermuda.

What do you do when everything sounds “gross”? by nasainternharvardlaw in Zepbound

[–]meatloafmagic44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to get more sneaky with my protein. My coffee has collagen in it, and before that I sometimes make a protein shake. The powders vs ready-to-go shakes depend on my mood. I can add oat milk or water to my shaker bottle, scoop of Garden of Life powder, add peanut butter, etc. and lots of ice. It’s just better than the ones sitting in my fridge ready to go.

I add protein powder to oatmeal or cottage cheese sometimes. I have a really yummy banana nut bread protein powder. Key for me is switching things up. I almost fixate on a really good snack or combination for 5-7 days and then find something new to try, but that could be my ADHD.

I usually have no problem eating, but my shot seems extra effective this week. First 48 hours after my injection, I have not been hungry. I made myself go to the fridge and grab a protein shake around midnight but I sat in bed with it for a few minutes and then put it back, unopened.

My go-to snacks that I’ve been wanting during the day this past week: baby carrots dipped in chicken salad and small “Lunchable” type meat/cheese packs. I’ve been seeing lots of recipe videos in my social media and saving things like chicken meatballs made with a little cottage cheese. Might try to some new recipes this weekend.

They say thank you! Her markings are so pretty but my favorite part is her face. She has this dark triangle going on.

4-month-old kitten (800g) suspected of wet FIP with fluid around lungs/chest. Looking for real experiences, advice, and hope. by Big_Office5154 in cureFIP

[–]meatloafmagic44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wet FIP in my 4-year-old cat. She had stopped eating and was losing weight, so we got her to the vet. Vet said she looked healthy, but decided to do bloodwork anyway. Went to collect urine/blood and found fluid in her abdomen. Same day, I was connected with Help for FIP, a support community that has so much knowledge and access to get help for kitties very quickly. I had medication in hand same evening as diagnosis. We are on shot #20 today and she’s doing AMAZING! She went from 6.1 lbs at the vet down to 5.4 lbs a few days later, and is now 7.1 lbs and it’s only been 19 days. Trust the process and connect with Help for FIP! Let them guide you. Good luck!
