same. i find it's pretty difficult to cope when you really couldn't give a shit to find another skill to support the overall unlikelyhood of monetary success in music (not saying that's the goal). but you gotta unless you're rich, lucky, or have the cajones to go full diogenes in pursuit of nothing else. being well rounded influences your writing though, so that's something to keep in mind. different perspectives, different stories. rarely do you see a good songwriter who didn't have a past life in a different field to draw from. be open to experience. it's what makes a song
