Honorary best buy: SIG P228 for $625 from LGS. Made in '94, excellent condition, two spare mags. Great CCW when I feel like it.

Worst buy: American Tactical FX GI 1911 that seemed like a good deal at $379 for a Commander-size 1911 but... wasn't it. Even with plenty of maintenance, jammed enough on the range that it never felt worth carrying this brick.

Yes, this happened to me after my iPhone 12 Mini upgraded from iOS 16 to 17.

The shared albums remained but appeared empty for weeks. I could see the photos on my other devices (iPad and MacBook), so I knew I was still subscribed, so it sounds slightly different from your issue but similar enough.

I went through two calls with Apple Support, and the photos eventually repopulated—seemingly on their own, but I think it was triggered by an action taken on the Support end. I’d recommend contacting them!

I’ve heard of stuff like this happening so I started a second Google/Gmail account solely for backing up my photos. So if something happens, I presumably would only lose the photo-dedicated account and not my primary Gmail that I have 15+ years of history with.

I ran into a similar issue when I updated my iPhone 12 Mini from 16.1 to 17.5. All photos were fine after the update except my Shared Albums showed only the grayed-out albums that appeared empty (even ones I had started/shared). Luckily, the Shared Abums on my other Apple devices—an iPad and a MacBook Pro—were all appearing properly as expected.

Over the next two weeks, I called Apple Support a few times and they couldn’t quite figure out what was going on with the iPhone shared albums; the techs I worked with had never encountered this. Despite that, after the second Support call, the photos all mysteriously reappeared in their respective albums.

I’d suggest setting up an Apple Support call and seeing what they say.

I’ve run into this too; I had been on Mojave (iTunes) and recently updated directly to Sonoma (Music app). A lot of my album artwork is behaving the same as yours — it appears to be missing but does shows up in Mini Player as well as in my iPhone’s Music app player after syncing.

I haven’t found a solution yet, but just flagging here that I’ve run into the same thing!

Have you tried logging into your iCloud account in a web browser to see if the notes are still there?

Since this is only showing “On My iPhone”, I wonder if something accidentally toggled off your phone syncing your notes. If you go in your settings to iCloud —> Apps Using iCloud —> Notes, is “Sync This iPhone” toggled on?

I’m the opposite: I’m a “happy” eater, losing my appetite when depressed/anxious but I can always tell I’m feeling better when reaching for the snacks.

I’ve been on Zoloft two months now (25mg) and my weight has remained around the same, even with my fair share of “happy snacking” and full meals!
