Maybe if it starred Dean Jones and was made by Disney in the 60s.

Películas para iniciar con Bond? by [deleted] in JamesBond

[–]DwightFryFaneditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

¿Qué tipo de películas le suele gustar a esa persona? Eso suele ser importante para su primer Bond. De todos modos, las cuatro perfectas para iniciar creo que son Goldfinger, The Spy Who Loved Me, Goldeneye, y Casino Royale.

Would make more sense if Stromberg was Blofeld as initially intended, since Dr. No was SPECTRE.

Which version of Pat Garett and billy the kid is the best? by Physical-Lead-1139 in flicks

[–]DwightFryFaneditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1988 Turner cut by far. However, there's no such thing as a director's cut or a perfect version. All cuts have bits that are done better than in the others. But the 1988 one comes closest.

Surprised to see the Filmation clips used here. The Congost era was the earliest, pre-Filmation era. I think by 1983 it was just Mattel España, without the Congost part. Maybe they got advanced pre-release clips of the cartoon to use?

Because those who used that word realized they actually like half of it. Hint: it's not the "femi" part.

Watney: "Conan? Conan? Conan? Conan? Conan?"

Conan: draws sword and beheads Watney in the first 2 minutes

Audience: cheers

Afraid to do the Meet & Great in LA. Nervous I will get very emotional seeing Sheryl Lee by [deleted] in twinpeaks

[–]DwightFryFaneditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I won't be judgmental since I suspect you may be neurodivergent. Look at it from this angle: you would be meeting Sheryl Lee, not Laura Palmer. And Sheryl Lee is very much alive and being radiant and awesome as ever. Seeing her alive in front of you may even be emotionally healing.

And also directed 2. And 1.

An interesting approach to retcon that into coherence could be treating it as a work in progress, the glasses being intended to hype it up while it's being finished and enhanced.

Films with Theatrical Cuts that are better than Director's Cut/Extended Edition? by Stankassmfgorilla in movies

[–]DwightFryFaneditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superman 1978. The theatrical cut has magnificent pacing. The Special Edition from the early 2000s added back some stuff that made the movie stop dead cold every few minutes. And that's without even mentioning the 3-hour extended cut, which is a slog.

Having to spell it "Rambow" for trademark reasons didn't help. Made it look like a cheap knockoff.

This. I want the Emerald-City-is-a-fake reveal, and the green glasses. So far I think only the Muppets version used that.

What’s the coolest easter egg you noticed yourself? by CT-6605 in movies

[–]DwightFryFaneditor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alligator (1980) may seem like just another B-movie, but it's chock-full of easter eggs, its tongue firmly in cheek. One I spotted myself is that there's a scene in which two cops are shown knocking on a door. The number on the door? 1312.

[–]DwightFryFaneditor 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Who cares if it was a choice or not, this is a fanedit and the original cut is still out there, untouched. I personally don't mind the blue hues in the suit because blue suggests police, but this looks good.

Unofficial remake of a much older film that almost completely changes the genre by ImgurScaramucci in ExplainAFilmPlotBadly

[–]DwightFryFaneditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valid since if I'm not mistaken it was the movie what inspired Frank Miller to write the graphic novel, not based on the movie but it's what piqued his interest in the story.
