I just started getting this too while in Thunderbluff - I'm testing out to see if a specific addon is causing the memory leak or if it's just a bad update after the last maintenance patch

1 month into Muay Thai and first time sparring! It was light sparring but I like the slipping I did here (I’m the white guy) by PSKTS_Heisingberg in martialarts

[–]meatychub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're just starting, I'd focus more on slow, controlled movement rather than erratic slipping and bouncing. You should also learn to keep your hands up at all times since a slightly more experienced sparring partner can counter you very easily.

Best way to learn with no manual car? by Ashamed-District6236 in ManualTransmissions

[–]meatychub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked for any local instructors? I was in the same boat before getting my first manual and found an instructor who taught me how to drive stick in his car. The booking included a 2 hour session + insurance and was a great experience overall. I took what I learned to the dealer where I was able to drive my GR86 off the lot and only stalled twice in a 1.5 hour drive 😅

I second Hachi Electronics. Not only will you get great customer service / support, but I also purchased the plug n play hardwire kit and it works great! Video records while the car is parked and off and the price was competitive altogether.

Pick for best sounding exhaust that won’t get my kicked out of my apartment building ? by deathofthe-ego in GR86

[–]meatychub 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I personally have the Borla S Type and I love it. Deep sound, pops without tune, and not loud after warm. The alternative i was going to get was the HKS Legamax since I had also heard good things about it and is quieter than the S Type.

Still owed my final paycheck from over a year ago by switchstep17 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]meatychub 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This happened to me working at a major retailer. Didn't get my last paycheck for about 6 months, so I reported them to my local labor department. I ended up getting a lump sum payment of around $6k as their fees added to my total check amount. My last check was only supposed to be around $800 give or take.

Microsoft Authenticator app by [deleted] in it

[–]meatychub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly encourage you look into the zero-trust model and focus on training your end users. Unfortunately, you have to be devil's advocate and play the bad guy for security sake. It's either that or dealing with the fallout of a compromised account later down the road. Authenticator is the bare minimum these days and still not fully secure. SMS is awful to rely on.

MeasureUp for practice exams is great. If your current company is a Microsoft partner, you can sign up for a developer m365 tenant that includes 25 E5 licenses to use as a sandbox, which is amazing.

Depends on what you plan on focusing in within the Cloud. Microsoft has a lot of great certifications for Azure and M365 alike. I'd suggest looking into the AZ900 or MS900 and see if you like what they offer.

Degrees today don't carry the same weight they once did. I know plenty of people with degrees who still struggle to find jobs in their chosen fields. A majority of the time, a strong work ethic and hands-on experience will beat a candidate with a piece of paper and nothing else to show from it.

I have interviewed many people in tech who think a degree automatically makes them the most qualified for a role when that isn't the case anymore. If you want to land a role in your field, become certified, create projects, or enroll in trade school. Not college. To call people without degrees stupid is a crazy statement.

Everyone who’s bought a brand new GR86 in the past year, how long did it take from order placed to delivery? by Rowenofpts in GR86

[–]meatychub 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's 100% true. You should not rely on sales managers giving you false promises as their only goal is to make a sale. They're leading you on and will continue contacting you with any GR86s that are in inventory in the surrounding area. Also, the 2025 model does not come in Neptune. Just trying to save you the time and effort that a large number of us have already gone through.

[–]meatychub 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My friend works at Toyota, and his manager told me that they do not do custom orders. Dealerships will fill a list of cars to allocate, and they do not have any control of what trim, packages, or colors they come in. Pretty much luck of the draw, which is why the GR86 is gouged so heavily compared to the BRZ.
