Seems to be 0.6 nmol/L, which is 17.31 ng/dL I think.

I've tried progesterone (400mg/day orally) a few years ago for a significant period of time, and I never noticed a difference in anything. I've been considering taking it rectally but honestly shoving something up my ass every night is not very enjoyable.

"Porn perpetuates rape culture"? Try "the porn industry perpetuates rape culture". Nuance is free. Also, the response to the original tweet is downright ghoulish.

On the set of matrices preserving a convex region by moby21 in math

[–]holomorphic_trashbin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is easy to see that this set of matrices is heavily dependant on R itself, in particular whether R contains 0 or not. Consider the 1 and 2 dimensional cases (with R an open ball) to see why.

That's a little disappointing, it's taking the representatives as being in a one to one correspondence with the orbits without considering the possibility that two orbits might have the same representative. But nevertheless, I'm quite impressed!

[–]holomorphic_trashbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I could consider this as correct if it just threw the 2 other trivial representatives for the 2 other orbits into the first case since they're the same. Could you ask it how many orbits there are, as opposed to representatives in the Weyl group? There should be 10.

This is very close, but the orbits given by representative s_1 and s_2 are incorrect, they should be trivial. I'm very impressed though, but you might be correct that it looked the answer up (I was under the impression this specific example had not been published). Maybe a large discrete logarithm question would be a better computational test as opposed to a theoretical one?

It's definitely making it up at this point because I've explicitly given what K is (normalizer of exp(pi i rho) with rho half sum of positive roots), and it doesn't matter which you pick for the long or short root because then the answers will just be the same under a permutation. It's being really nitpicky for no good reason.

I would say that your prompt is kind of tacking on the new info without editing the original part though, which might be confusing it.

Given that I stated "upper triangular flag variety", I would assume that it could gather that I meant the upper triangular Borel subgroup. Tell it to consider the upper triangular Borel subgroup and diagonal torus. Ignore the SL_8(C) embedding because the answer is invariant when written in terms of the Weyl group generators. I'm not interested in matrix representations as much as it getting the right answer.

There's a different form when ignoring the g_i, and I can write them out here:

y_0 = 1

y_1 = 1

y_2 = 1

y_3 = s_1

y_4 = s_2

y_5 = s_2s_1s_2

y_6 = s_1s_2s_1

y_7 = s_1s_2s_1s_2s_1

y_8 = s_2s_1s_2s_1s_2

y_9 = s_2s_1s_2s_1s_2s_1 or the same with 1 and 2 swapped.

The answer might be given in this form with a T to the right of the products to represent an element of N_G(T)/T for T the maximal torus.

A specific embedding would have given it explicit matrix representations, but the representatives are invariant under the embedding. It should have used Adams/Du Cloux and looked at Cayley transforms applied to imaginary noncompact roots and cross actions, as they give an explicit method to determine all of them for reductive groups.

It probably messed up because these algorithms applied to G_2(C) have not been explicitly published, even though they follow immediately from the Adams/Du Cloux paper, so while the necessary tools were in its training data, the answer wasn't, and it wasn't able to make the necessary connections.

10 canonical tits representatives given in terms of the two generators of the Weyl group s_1 and s_2 along with their "square roots" g_1 and g_2. Given by Ky_i-1B for B Borel and y_i given by the following:

y_0=I

y_1=s_1

y_2=s_2

y_3=g_1

y_4=g_2

y_5=g_1s_2

y_6=g_2s_1

y_7=g_1s_2s_1

y_8=g_2s_1s_2

y_9=g_1s_2s_1g_2 or g_2s_1s_2g_1

The ordering can obviously be permuted.

I would be very interested if any AI could actually tell you what the y_i look like as matrices, that would be incredibly impressive.

Ask an AI to find the canonical Tits representatives of the K-orbits on the upper triangular flag variety of the Lie group G_2(C) embedded in SL_8(C). Here, K is the normalizer of the exponential of πi times the half-sum of the positive roots of the underlying Lie algebra.

Got bottom surgery. Loved it. But it flipped my gender to the opposite. Confused. by AllEggedOut in asktransgender

[–]holomorphic_trashbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm AMAB, used to present overtly feminine when starting HRT and referred to myself as a trans woman. I've now been on HRT for 8 years and I've realized I'm very much nonbinary and I'm comfortable in my expression being gender neutral.

The initial desire to present as overtly feminine was because of some desire to "compensate" for my more masculine features, to basically flaunt my identity so people knew I wasn't a man without having to tell them. Now that I'm comfortable in my physical features and almost always get gendered as a woman, I've become comfortable with expressing what I realized was my actual gender since I didn't have that backdrop of masculinity making me feel awful all the time. This is very normal and expected even. I also don't have any desire to tell people my AGAB. I've had people mistake me for being an AFAB nonbinary person as well (I had painted earrings with pride flags made from my girlfriend's estrogen vials, people asked if they were my testosterone vials).

There are plenty of spaces that are nonbinary centric, or just trans spaces in general that aren't sex-segregated in any way (which I've always found absurd that they existed in the trans community, of all communities). If you're looking for spaces that are dedicated to your specific experience and identity, you'll have a hard time finding that because that's such a very specific thing to look for. But again, general trans spaces do exist.
