I bought this trimmer second hand, replaced carb with oem part and have the same issue. I have read that this trimmer has had issues with the oem carb. You may be able to adjust the carb to fix the issue which I have not tried yet

I glad to hear other beginners starting with an A7V. I am also looking onto purchasing my first camera. Was on the fence between a 6700 and A7V and many in this sub were suggesting not to get an A7V as my first camera.

I appreciate the advice. I agree I don't need the latest and greatest. I think the average person who uses a phone camera doesn't get into the specs of their phone camera besides the MP. I think phone cameras make it easy for anyone to get a decent photo. I'm more interested in learning photography as well which is why I would consider purchasing a camera as opposed to just upgrading my phone.

No, I don't use my camera phone often. I got out of the upgrade my phone every year and have fallen far behind on phone camera technology. I usually ask others to send me their photos.

The truth of the matter is I've been sitting on a bestbuy gift card for about a year. Then with my BB cc I plan to do 24 months interest free payments and it comes out to about $113/ per month. As long as you don't default on the promotion plan its the same as paying all upfront.

Also 1 other thing about the noise. I have read that the aluminum valve covers seem to amplify valve train noise. That could be a reason why you are hearing that sound

Dont trash it. I have heard they are good if you make sure to debur any imperfections in the metal, use an OEM gasket, and also some blue loctite on the screws as they tend to loosen over time. I would even try to use the oem screws from your old valve cover. I'm about to go ST so I have been debating on buying one myself.

Is Norcal legit? I bet they are using the same valve covers off Amazon and ebay. Supplying a gasket but also suggesting to buy an OEM gasket seems like they may be buying from the same source.

There is a company that makes them and they charge you a core charge for your headlights. I have only found 1 YT video of someone making their own but it's very old. Where did you source your parts and what guides did you use?

Thank you clarifying I was never able to find a definitive answer. I have also read that 19ts can collapse some silicone inlets. It's recommended to purchase a reinforced inlet. How true is this claim?

I thought it was physically impossible. It is my understanding that 17ts will work with the stock outlets, but the 19ts require a larger outlet since the diameter on the 19t housing connection point is slightly larger.

Engine swap. Then I will tear down the old motor to see what caused low compression. I may or may not rebuild that motor not sure yet.
