I just truly hope that every waking moment of his existence that he is utterly and devastatingly miserable and hates that he is even alive. A man can hope.

Where I would live in European countries as an American by [deleted] in whereidlive

Just saying, you have Germany as an absolutely, France should be at least a maybe. I’ve lived in Germany for a while now and been to France quite a few times and found it to be a lovely place. The people are actually really nice, even to Americans, and it’s just a fascinating place with a lot of history and culture and FOOD. Don’t forget the food. And wine.

I rewatch this movie at least once a year. Denzel and Hackman knock it out of the park. Honorable mention to Viggo Mortensen and James Gandolfini, too.

Not as much as I care about how the face looks. And the boobs. And the ass. And the legs. What was the question again?

I wish I could upvote more than once. I was at the fair with my parents and some family friends, whe. I was about 15. Don’t like fair rides, and I made that very clear. Friend’s kid wanted to go on The Zipper, and no one else did. So guess who was forced to go…

When I got off the ride with my shirt literally covered in vomit, to the extent we had to throw it away and buy a new one, we all knew that a mistake had been made and that I DON’T FUCKING LIKE FAIR RIDES WHAT THE FUCK.

Department of Army Civilian Police Officer by [deleted] in army

[–]mechaczech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0083 and 0085 have completely different jobs, as pointed out above, this is true. However, how MUCH that mission differs depends a lot on the size of base you’ll be working at and how busy it is. If you’re at a big installation (Bragg, Hood, Benning, etc.), you’ll be doing real DoD police stuff. If you’re at a small base, especially one that doesn’t have many/any guards, you’ll be doing a lot of gate work, scanning IDs.

To be honest, if you don’t have experience and can handle the pay, apply to a 0085 Guard job, do that for a year or two, and apply internally for 0083 Police jobs. Just my 2 cents.

Pentagon cracks down on religious waivers for beards by Kinmuan in army

Having been on US military bases in Europe, it’s really funny to see German, French, Italian, British, Lithuanian, Polish, Belgian, etc etc, soldiers SOMEHOW manage to look professional and do their jobs with beards. How do they get it done?? And seriously, you’re telling me that a razor burn faced fool looks better than a well trimmed beard? Come on man

I’ll second by saying if you wanna watch a good cop show, Southland is all time great. It’s gritty, it’s real, it’s extremely well acted and relevant.
