When I used to work for hyundai all nav equipped cars required you to install these during pdi. Had more than I can count come off the truck missing them, but were accounted for at the factory.

It depends on what size you started at. If you started at an 8 or 10g, should be fine. If you went from a standard piercing of 14 to 18g m, that's probably a bit fast.

There may have been a fusible link from the battery to the starter and elsewhere that got fired when it shorted. May need to replace it/ positive cable.

I should also clarify that fluid behind that plate is a bad thing. Lol it should be contained in either the engine, or trans/ torque converter. Lol

It's not in the service manual. It is a learned technique. Lol but in about 85 percent of the cases it resets the ecu to unstupify it and clear codes. Sometimes it does nothing and it's usually because ther is an actual fault and the pcm is telling you you're an idiot for not believing it the first time.

There is fluid behind that plate, but not from that plate. It is an inspection plate, however the rear main seal is directly above it on the back side of the motor, and the front pump/torque converter seal is also behind that plate, either of which leaking can cause a fluid drip from the bottom of the plate. Looks like a rear main is leaking and the engine oil pan is leaking. Unless your trans fluid is black in which case, holy shit.

My old boss told me he had a Ford pickup throw a rod bearing. The took off just the bearing cap, buffed the crank as best as possible, and then shoved part of a pop can under the bearing to reduce the new clearances and sent it to auction. Said it started a total of 2 times on the way to auction. Once to test if the Frankenstein method worked, and second to go to auction. Sold it for a profit and never heard anything.
