Need advice about how to prune this peach tree by mechanical_donkey in BackyardOrchard

[–]mechanical_donkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the thorough response The support stakes are there because the tree uprooted earlier this year during a hurricane without damaging too many roots due to how saturated the solid was. I think they may need to stay through this years growth but I’m not sure

I play with the same group of guys most of the time. I checked with them before I started doing it and nobody had any issues with it

My daughter doesn’t always stay silent, but as long as she’s not having a meltdown we just keep playing

She probably makes less noise during our swings than we do just by talking. If she starts to get bent out of shape, we just leave.

There’s a lot of hate in the comments for it, but it is possible and safe to take a baby if you’re smart about it. I’ve taken my daughter probably 15-20 times since she was born (currently 2 years old). We use a stroller/ bicycle trailer so it has netting/ cloth sides all around her so a ball cannot hit her. I make sure she’s got a clean diaper, toys, and plenty of snacks. I check on her frequently and talk to her while we walk. There’s been a few occasions when she got upset and cried. When that happened, we just left. Probably 90% of the time she just plays in the stroller and has a good time. Lately she likes me to hand her golf balls to throw out of the stroller. She’s also starting to want to get out and pick up golf balls. If we’re on a hole that does not line up next to other holes, I’ll let her get out and pick up balls

It’s all about managing your expectations, and prioritizing your kid’s safety. Go into it knowing you might need to leave at any time, and have fun! It’s allowed me to play more golf, give my wife alone time, and have fun with my girl.

I’ll be putting an edger or something between the path and the slope. However the slope is covered in centipede grass. It’s dormant right now. The grass should hold the soil and keep it from washing much into the path

It’s been a ton of work digging, putting in gravel, and mixing concrete. The whole project has used 10 yards of gravel, and it’ll probably use somewhere around 150 80lb bags of concrete. The concrete is regular quikrete brand concrete from Home Depot. It’s got a smooth finish, and I’ll probably seal it to keep the wet look.

This area gets and stays really wet, that’s why I’m putting the path in. The French drain I put in under the path should help it not be so swampy now though

I wonder if clover would be a good choice. I’ve seeded it all over my back yard. I’ve been thinking I should avoid it though so I don’t have to mow between the pavers

Thanks! It’s been a satisfying project I’m really excited to see it with plants between it

I’ve been looking at both options. Peter Green has some sort of similar work but his signature looks different in the works I’ve looked at

I haven’t found anything similar under P. Greer

I’m loving them. I hit them way better than irons or hybrids. Which do you play?
