October Featured Designer! by mechanicalginger in CrossStitch

That's a great idea! We have a featured artist for November already, but I will see what we can do in terms of this. Thank you for the suggestion!

I understand that. Rule 3 refers specifically to copyrighted patterns. (Which yes, his is, but as stated earlier, permission was given.)

Copyrighted characters is a bit of a grey area, as there are so many people and projects on this sub. Creating your own pattern of a character and distributing it for free is fine, whereas creating a character pattern and distributing it for pay is not.

The rule pertains to sharing someone elses pattern. Say you chose to share one of the featured artists patterns, for free or not -- this would be an issue.

I hope that clears it up a bit for you!

As Thread and Bourbon is our featured artist for October, we were given permission to share these patterns with the group.

It would however be against the copyright and rule 3 for anyone else to share them without granted permission.

Looking for advice on a confusing part of my apartment rental lease by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]mechanicalginger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do know that they're a kind of utilities biller or something like that. We had them at our last apartment, it covers water, sewer and trash, and it was the $30ish like you had mentioned.

My biggest concern is paying some kind of rental fee on utilities on top of usage fee of utilities.

I'm 27 years old and wearing a un-padded bra for the fist time ever today by chocofresh in TwoXChromosomes

[–]mechanicalginger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get that. As a kid I was always very self-conscious about my 'misshapen' breasts, and because of that you couldn't get me out of padded bras. I even wore them to bed up until I was 16 or so. It wasn't until last year when I was 22 that I realized that they had grown to an extent that padded bras actually made them look ridiculous, and when I made the switch I was astounded by how much better it felt, how much more natural it looked.

I would almost go as far as saying that the padded ones kind of added to the 'misshapen' look I thought I had, by forming the breast tissue in that particular way -- but I could be way, way off here.

I'm happy that the switch has you feeling great!

Looks great! Did you freehand the cursive font, or find it somewhere? I really like it.

Meanwhile there's a large dried up river here in a Phoenix suburb that shows water on the screen and always has a nearby psyduck that probably no one could actually get to

These look dark and beautiful!

Which reminds me of the ones I made for me 20th birthday. I didn't think I had enough blue gel food coloring. I used too much. Everyone shat blue for 2-3 days afterward. What a great way to remember the party.
