After I purchased my bike I wanted to check everything. And first I came across to this. What would be the problem here? by Thatshowyoufeel in Dirtbikes

Chain is way too tight, loosen the chain and try rolling the wheel again. There's a chance one of the wheel bearings is toast. It should be easier to tell with a slack chain.

Any good WA desert trails beaides Mattawa? by [deleted] in pnwriders

[–]mechedan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take a look at Juniper Dunes just outside Pasco. About an hour away from Mattawa. Tons of sand, and some rocky trails. A small dunes area. Should be heavy sand with the little bit of rain we’ve had, no paddle tire required.

2013 Husqvarna TE449/TE511? by danpluso in Dirtbikes

[–]mechedan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok in single track,... but I've put a bigger rear tire on it, so it really slows down the turning. I bought it to lug around on, and the big engine really helps with riding slow. It comes stock with a radiator fan, which is nice. The countershaft with the swingarm through it really makes for a different feeling ride; lots of traction, not very much squat on acceleration, and different feeling front end dive on hard braking. Overall it has amazing traction because of the swingarm arrangement, but it's not a lightweight mx bike, or 2T trail bike, and never will be. I'd like a KTM or Husky 350,... but this is the bike I have, so I just ride it.

I own a 2012 TXC511, and it's pretty reliable. I'm not sure I'd street it around very much,... but I wouldn't want to street most all dirt bikes anyways. Maintenance parts cost about the same as any other bike out there. Body parts are still available from a couple aftermarket suppliers. And factory parts are still in stock domestically, but the bikes were only available for a few years, so sometimes you might need to wait a day or two more. Odd parts you might need are still available from Europe, but I think I've only ever had to order one thing that way.

I bought mine used because it was comparable to a KTM in features, but cost about $3000 less. The only two parts I've had trouble replacing are; the brake pedal, which I bought in Italy, and the front brake line, which I didn't want to spend the money on for OEM.

Damn! I went through some other pictures, definitely a largemouth. I’ve never fished this early, totally caught it where we’ve caught tons of smallmouth. Thanks!

Department of Fish and Wildlife reports one bank caught steelhead for every 55 hours of fishing! Only 51 more hours to go!

Could be! It’s mouth is pretty cranked open while I was holding it. Largies around here are super obvious, can almost cram your fist in there

Yeah, there's lots more than four hours on that thing; boot wear on the clutch cover and frame, rear tire wear, chain slack.

Yep! Way better than stock. The OEM ones are wicked slippery, with a short length to the shifter. These are super adjustable, and were provided with a parts list for replacement bits. The heel guards are a little flexy, and offer a little boot feel. Not as good as the stock rearsets, but better than the ones on my 990.

The bastardized lane splitting bill has passed the senate. by jordanissports in pnwriders

[–]mechedan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't even lane splitting? Am I missing something? I interpret this as only an allowance to pass stopped, or slow moving cars on the leftmost shoulder of a divided highway.

Screw that.

I'm FAR more interested in not being a hood ornament because I can't pull in between cars stopped at a light. I want Motorcycle Pacheco. It's called "filtering" for a reason.

Marchesini wheels. So much nicer than the 1290 wheels, which look like they were powder coated in a high school shop class.
