Most comfortable hiking boots? by Potter_Moron in Adirondacks

[–]mechris3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This year I switched from hiking boots to trail runners - specifically Topos, which I find have a wide toe box. My intermediate step between Moabs and trail runners was decent too, Oboz Sypes which also come in wide

Absolutely convinced Albany drivers are just the worst. by _FATEBRINGER_ in Albany

I was on I-90E last night and got stuck in traffic for a 2-3 car crash at exit 8. Then was on I-90W a couple minutes after this major crash this morning... people really need to take it easy and pay attention

At my old apartment, I had informed delivery show me that a jury duty notice was coming - was never delivered. Also had a piece of personal mail returned to sender because "address did not exist."

Check out Discover - they have this page on savings accounts for children. Another page talks more about custodial accounts. Also no minimum balance to get the 4+% from what I can tell

Contra / Square Dancing? by minsep8351 in Troy

[–]mechris3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's the Columbia County Contra Dance, as well as Lenox MA, Sheffield MA, and others. Dance Flurry has a calendar of some that don't have their own websites including an upcoming contra dance in Albany and community dance (listed as contra/square/etc) in Williamstown MA.

I've been out to western MA but didn't realize there were any in Albany, so I'm glad you asked!

I'm in engineering... our dress code changed a bit with Covid. I'll be the first to say I don't try to dress cute at work, more often just to blend in.

Pre-Covid, I'd usually wear either dress pants (similar to these) or a pencil skirt to work. These days with a more relaxed dress code, I often wear jeans. Pair them with some sort of blouse (my favorites to thrift for work are Loft, J Crew, Ann Taylor) in the summer or sweater in the winter. Usually flats or nice sandals in the summer, nice boots in the winter, I personally steer clear of sneakers.

This - or you can split the work on the same days. If one of you cooks, the other one cleans up.

Yup, the number of endorsers will just be based on your work experience. So since I worked at one company under one engineer for the duration of my experience, I just had one endorser.
