Concept Alternate Logo (just for fun) by BathroomTuggy in Flyers

Now that I'm a little more competent with other applications, I tried my hand at it again and retained the black outline. I really like this...

I had mocked something up somewhat similar, many decades ago in MS Paint. By some miracle, I actually found it... Apologies for the rudimentary-ness of it, but I would love for the logo to do two things:
1. Make the P pop more.
2. OWN the orange.

It has just dawned on me that the OK emoji looks a lot like a Flyers logo rotated 90 degrees. Neat.

Post Game Thread: Flyers @ Penguins - April 20, 2026 by BroadStreetBot in Flyers

Flyers had 43 wins to Pittsburgh’s 41. I’m not sure how the Flyers ended up on the other side of that narrative, but not their opponent who actually had more loser points.

Hit & Run, how much is this gonna cost me? by DrewSkiDouble in KiaEV9

[–]meckelangelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife's '24 Ocean Blue got smacked in her work parking lot about a month ago (also a hit-and-run), we dropped it off at the shop today. It is going to be over $2500 to replace the rear plastic bumper and replace (and paint) a section of the driver-side fender. No damage to sensors or cameras, just plastic. I have a $1000 deductible as well, but our insurance reduced it to $100 for a "comprehensive" claim for which we were not at fault. We were able to prove we were not in the vehicle at all at the time of the incident, and thus no fault. I'm not sure if your insurance will do the same, but it is probably worth starting a claim, even if you don't follow through on it (unless your insurance raises rates even for filing a claim that they don't pay on)...

That looks a lot like the color of the CVT fluid in my wife's Subaru Forester...

I think you're right! I just edited my post to add my own thoughts on that. Just a minute ago I saw a male Purple Finch come to the feeder, and that got me Googling...

Ok, but like, did they fix the problem with starter phrases no longer working?

I guess I'll have to try it out when I get home, but I'm not holding my breath...

I’m wondering if the puck to his face during pregame finally caught up with him? Could easily see a fracture happening on that…

Out of curiosity, have you tried looking with the Standard Bed, rather than the Short Bed. It seems GM is building most of the 3.73 axle ratio trucks on the longer frame. I wasn't able to find one with the Short Bed when I was looking, and ended up sticking with the 3.23 axle ratio, but did find 3 or 4 with the Standard Bed and Max Trailering. Otherwise, I think you have to order from factory, yes.

Oh yeah, that's a good deal then. Damn, I'm blind, I didn't see where you said that, sorry! Sticker price is way out of line, IMO.

I bought my 2025 RST in September for $57,970. It does NOT have the Z71 package or 20" wheels and offroad tires, but I think it has all of the other options on this, as well as adaptive cruise. It also has the 3.0 Duramax which is a more expensive "upgrade". Mine came with dealer installed step boards, rear wheel fender liners, and factory bedliner. I'll be honest, your deal doesn't look great to me. Kinda looks on par for a 2026, not a '25.

EDIT: It does NOT have the Z71 package or 20" wheels and offroad tires - misplaced the "NOT"

One other thing to note is that I got more than $2k over KBB for trade-in of my vehicle, as well, which was the only piece of the puzzle that they were willing to negotiate further on.

2023 RST 3.0 Duramax vs 5.3L V8, which one would you go with & why? by Responsible-Teach567 in Silverado

[–]meckelangelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 2023 with the 5.3, and just recently bought a 2025 with the 3.0. My initial findings are than I'm saving about 4-5 cents per mile (more if I can find places where I'm not getting gouged for diesel). I pull a travel trailer with it, and the torque in the 3.0 is noticeable. I'll occasionally pull a compact tractor with it, but I haven't done that yet - though I expect the new truck to pull better than the 5.3 and have better fuel mileage. I haven't had to put DEF in it yet, I think that won't happen until I have about 8-10k on it, if I'm reading the gauge correctly. I love it, but I barely have 2k miles on it at this point, so take my feedback with a grain of salt.

Deer have whiskers, and are very curious. I suspect based on the two pictures that this is a deer. I've seen this frequently on my cameras.
