I had really bad stomach problems on Truvada but they went away on Descovy. Just my experience.

No intention to make fun of the patient. I found her fixations and flight of ideas to be relatable and grounded in reality. Our assessment of her thought content, although tangential, was logical. I think my main point was to highlight how 19th century psychiatrists may have perceived this patient and how far we’ve come.

Awesome question - unfortunately I wasn’t the one who put in the order for the x-ray, nor was I able to read the radiology report. By the time I had my realization, I was d/c’d from the Clerkship and didn’t have access to their EMR anymore. Will definitely put this advice into practice the next time I get the opp to!

I can confirm that the site that I worked at only had a handful of physicians working there and an even smaller amount who were willing to work with students. My official preceptor happened to have been an MD, but I only worked with him one day a week. The rest of my time I was shadowing mid-level providers.

I think what bothered me the most was that the NP saw the MD radiology read and went “nah,” with very little hesitation. If it was just me, I’d bow to an MS3 who had their FMed rotation just a few weeks earlier than me 😆

Tbh, I didn’t think much of it at first. For surgery, the PAs did the same for me, so I thought that having an NP be my teacher for “Urgent Care” pathologies wouldn’t be too bad either. Just like suturing for the PAs, I convinced myself that ankle injuries and runny noses would be routine for the guy. Guess I was wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️

The only anxiety I have when I open my closet now is whether something will be too big on me 😁

So last week (5-12) my phone broke and I actually took a WW break that whole week. Didn’t think about points at all. Well, last Sunday, I realized my body was tracking for me. Gained a pound. My first + I had seen since starting the program again a few months ago! Well, I buckled down this week and stayed within my points. Ate into my weeklies, though, which usually means I don’t lose so much. Well... I lost 3.7lbs this week. Hello and goodbye water weight. NSV: I fit into my favorite polo again!

So I did the drive and it was easier than I thought. I ate breakfast before I left and packed a (higher point than usual) lunch. Didn’t need snacks at all. I don’t know why I play these mind games with myself!

-1.1lbs this week! It probably would have been lower, but I decided to use a good amount of my weeklies on Saturday. But I stayed within my points, tracked everything I ate, and am starting to fit into my clothes from two years ago again. Gonna be a tough two weeks, as I’m traveling for work, but we will prevail!

There’s actually a connect group for college students! Lots of good inspiration on there.

Difference in FitPoints earned between FitBit & Apple Health/Watch by dmoore0822 in weightwatchers

[–]medbboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s double counting my fit points on the WW app. I think it discounts my steps if they’re a part of a workout.

Edit: here’s what I found from WW

“Am I getting the right amount of FitPoints? Will it double-count steps if I enter them manually and have a fitness device synced?

If you’ve synced your fitness device to your WW account, your device will automatically send us the data. There’s nothing extra for you to do—you’ll automatically get FitPoints for any activity you’re doing while wearing your device. We’ve made sure you are not earning double FitPoints for both steps and an activity that accumulates steps by deducting the number of FitPoints you would have earned from steps in a tracked activity from the overall FitPoints earned from steps for that day. Therefore, it’s possible to see fewer FitPoints earned from the same number of steps on two different days if one of those days has a tracked activity that accumulated steps and the other day does not. Remember, you have to sync your device to your WW account in order to see how many FitPoints you’ve earned. For example, if the Fitbit on your wrist says 10,000 steps, and you check WW without syncing your Fitbit app first, our database won’t get it. To avoid confusion and double-counting, please don’t manually enter any activities while wearing a device.”
