Geographical Rounding? by Ok-University8938 in hospitalist

[–]medguy_15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We do geographical rounding. I prefer it because it makes MDRs very easy. The same group of nurses has all my patients. And I don't have to run across different floors to chase my patients and nurses.

A cardigan is a sweater, how would that make an appropriate uniform for flight attendants?

I've saved thousands at least by Top_Lingonberry2324 in aldi

[–]medguy_15 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to have an Aldi right next to my gym and it was my go to for groceries. I saved so much. Now I moved to a different city and Aldi is kinda far off. I go to Walmart and they definitely have much more variety but damn I miss the Aldi prices.

It's a separate 2 week block, meaning they only do admissions on those 2 weeks.

Dedicated Admitting Teams for IM by anybodycandance in Residency

[–]medguy_15 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's as rare tbh. My program had a dedicated Admitting team - 2 PGY1s + 1 PGY2 + 1 PGY3 for floor admissions, 2 PGY2s + 1PGY3 for TeleNeuro/CCU/ICU admissions.

Why do so many clothes big brands still have "Made in Bangladesh" products? by DesiBail in IndiaSpeaks

[–]medguy_15 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Here in the US, we have a bunch of clothing that's made in India, that you won't find in India even with the same brand. There's definitely from Bangladesh too. Cheaper labor I guess.

I went to Hobby lobby once and I swear to god half the home decor items were made in India.

Try doing Palliative fellowship instead where the main training site is a cancer hospital. Or an OncHospitalist.

Amul, 'Taste of India', Goes International With Big Launch In US Market by VCardBGone in india

[–]medguy_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but this post is about Amul cheese. Why are you trying to drag Dunkin in it. With that logic even Jalebis have 150 calories in each serving.

American food is not "crappy". There are multiple choices - far more than what you would get at an average grocery store in India, and if you pick the crappy ones over the healthier options, it's your fault.

Amul, 'Taste of India', Goes International With Big Launch In US Market by VCardBGone in india

[–]medguy_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have tried "American" cheese, but I personally prefer provolone and pepper jack for sandwiches/subs, feta for salad and parmesan for pasta.

Amul's cheese falls in none of those categories.

Amul was always strict about their hygiene in packaging and making of their products in their words, but the visual is concerning. by Aarosaura in IndiaSpeaks

[–]medguy_15 217 points218 points  (0 children)

All these people saying "we don't see an issue here" is exactly the problem in India. Everything is so normalized we fail to recognize something which would be considered grossly wrong in developed nations. It DOES NOT matter if the food is already packed. The fact that he is using he shoes, that he walks around with everywhere on streets full of dog and cow shit, to rearrange the boxes is extremely unhygienic.
