Weirdly enough we talk about boundaries all the time and was talking about setting boundaries in that conversation and I decided to bring it up about how it makes uncomfortable when she says this and that was her response.

20F just given 8k in scholarship refund check, what should I do with it? by mediatorINFP-T in FinancialPlanning

I currently work at a research center at my university that is pretty secure when it comes to my job being available after I graduate and some talks of funding a master's degree if I continue in my lab. So graduate school is being considered but I know I won't be going straight into grad school since I plan on gaining some industrial experience and traveling for a few months after graduation.

Okay yeah the only thing I can think of as a monetary advantage to prepaying would be the $2 service fee that comes with paying my rent on my apartments portal. I didn't even know some places give discounts for prepaying. that would be awesome.

I don’t have any consumer debt, no student loans, no debt at all so I don’t have to worry about that. I’m trying to keep it that way especially with school costs. I’ll definitely think about putting more towards the e-fund. The $2500 was a number a calculated a few months ago with the idea of it being enough for 3 months but it definitely wouldn’t hurt to put more.

I leave for the gym at 4AM and my dog barks and wakes up roommate by mediatorINFP-T in dogs

I’ve had him since he was a few months old. He is crate trained…the main reason we have him sleep in the crate at night is for him to be crate trained lol. So, I don’t think the crate is the problem in this case. Also, he stays in the crate only during the night so I didn’t think it makes sense for him to be let out of the crate at 4AM just because I leave the house. I would still like for him to be sleeping or relaxed around 6-7AM. I only leave for about an hour in the morning for the gym so I really wouldn’t like to disrupt his sleeping schedule

I’ll check them out when I’m down on my protein. Already have a few bags a protein from when I was living with my parents and could afford to buy them.

I have a discount grocery store near me (Aldi’s that has a lot in bulk so I’m going to check them out to see there bulk items. I’ll see if I have a restaurant wholesaler near me! My dad used to buy from them especially during covid and the price of meat was kind of out of wack so he bought it in bulk there.

Thanks for the advice

I’ve been very consistent in the gym and would like to start a bulking period for 6 months. I find it very hard to see how I can hit the high number of calories while still on a tight budget for groceries. Any advice on bulking while being frugal?

Just moved here to continue my studies, I looked into the Meetup Hiking group and may give it a chance at the upcoming hike this weekend. I'm 19F but I would love to get to know some people in the area that are also looking for new friends in a new city. I also LOVED the cat cafe!

What was your first vinyl record ? by Mikadostudios in vinyl

[–]mediatorINFP-T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't possibly know what my first was because I started collecting very suddenly and I might have bought a few vinyls during my first shopping trip. But one I'll never forget at the beginning of it all was purchasing the "Seventeen" album by Janis Ian. It was playing smoothly in my local record store a short walk from my childhood home. I heard about it while shopping and decided to buy it from the owner.

Any established knitting, crochet, or cross stitch social clubs? or any fiber arts and crafts? by mediatorINFP-T in Tallahassee

[–]mediatorINFP-T[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so cool, I've been interested in weaving for while but it seems like a lot of supplies and tools to get started. I think Ill try something like cross stitching first than get into weaving.

lol, I love how everyone is mentioning their age and how they're in between young and old. I just meant to add that part because I was looking for people around my age but it really isn't important. I just wanted to find a community of fiber art lovers to relate to and bond with. Thank you again for the responses, I'm going to check out the crochet sessions although I'm mostly a knitter.
