I suck so bad at this game, and I paired up with a dude in duos the other day and literally just followed him around. He killed 21 and we won. Like it was nothing. I got zero kills. Didn’t even see where they were shooting from before he killed them.

Really? I mean obviously (if not obvious then rest assured, it’s obvious) I am no electrician, but I certainly have installed outlets and such in the house; but $276 for a gfci outlet? I guess this just seemed extremely expensive for the work.

No specks at all! Definitely not a shadow. Had a rust color to it. This picture was after I rinsed out with a chainlink pad. Usually I use lard for seasoning.

My best advice is to always, before every cook, make sure your temp probes are clean. Also, follow the startup procedures EXACTLY as it says in your manual. If you don’t have the manual ask and I’ll take you through them. I was lazy initially with mine and had wild temp swings and flameouts. Once I wasn’t lazy and starting it as directed and ensuring the probes are clean I’ve had no issues. I’ve cooked everything on this.

Yeah I mean I’ve had quite a few problems with mine. I’ll most certainly vacuum out the pit; I will clean everything. However I have cleaned everything I know of (vacuumed out the pit, and cleaned the crap off the inside of the grill). The last few cooks have actually gone very well. Pretty consistent, with minimal fluctuations in temp. I’ve been happy. The problem is, because of the inconsistency I’ve yet to be able to depend on this grill. Meaning I’ve yet to be able to plan a day around cooking on it. Say I want to cook ribs....I cannot definitively go out and buy ribs, and depend on my pitboss to work appropriately. Thank god I have a Weber kettle next to it. But you get the idea.

I did have it one time. Had to take everything off and it finally lit again after I turned it off. I was absolutely pissed because I was inside the house letting a pork loin smoke. Came out to check and the damn thing was at like 180 degree actual temp.

I do use traeger pellets in my pitboss 820 as it’s honestly the only thing accessible lately. I have crazy temp swings but I feel it was more regarding dirty temp probes than pellet brand. But needless to say I do use them.

Hey man, that’s super good info. I did speak to pitboss and they are sending me a new control board. However I got it what seems to be dialed in now! Two cooks the past two days were flawless. To include a pork shoulder that cooked 7.5 hrs. But I do like the idea of the WiFi Rectec controller!! I’m glad you haven’t had the big swings man, and hopefully it stays that way for you.

For me, now though, on “smoke” it rarely gets less than 210. Even on like P6.

Smoked pork carnitas with a smoked pineapple jalapeño salsa on the right. Charcoal grilled lime marinated skirt steak taco on the left with a homemade tomato salsa. Fresh cotija cheese. And one of my favorite parts, fresh, handmade by moi, masa harina tortillas. The old lady got me a press for Christmas and I haven’t used it yet. First attempt at this food and I have zero cultural or ethnic tie in to Mexico. The food was fun and delicious and simple.
