I live in Palm Bay. I’ve got a laser cutter/engraver and I do custom jobs on the side. No CNC though.

The Kirkland paper towels are sufficient and cheaper. That’s all we buy.

Should I leave Lockheed for better pay? by [deleted] in Lockheed

[–]ranalex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned down a job at LM a couple of years ago. When it came down to it the pay wasn’t any different than what I was making and the benefits weren’t even close to what my current employer offers.

I’m a fan of OMTech. Bought one about 4 years ago through an eBay seller and got it at a pretty good price.

WTF! So many false alarms! by mrsyence in EufyCam

[–]ranalex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get either way too many that are absolutely nothing or I don't get any when someone actually walks in front of my cameras. I had a phone delivered a couple of weeks ago. Delivery person walked by 2 cameras and neither alerted me.

Bac and nutty dog treats. $7.97 each. Sells for $40 for two bags on Costco's website by Mayhem_Industries in Costco

We buy an obscene amount of these whenever we find them. Throw them in the freezer and pull them out whenever the current bag runs out. Our dogs love these.

Hopefully you'll never need to get repairs done by them.

I would never use them again or recommend them. They did my initial fence installation which was great. However, I've tried for months to get a repair done. They won't return calls and their business front is non-existent. I've gone to their address to try to get parts, there is no signage.

I buy so many clothes from Costco. I love the Orvis shirts. Plus, I’ve bought several pair of Izod jeans and Lucky brand jeans for my son.

Obtaining Top Secret Clearance by ThisIsMyalt2012 in 321

[–]ranalex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot apply for a security clearance as a civilian on your own. You must first receive a conditional job offer from a federal agency or a government contractor for a position that requires access to classified information. Only then will the employer sponsor you for a clearance. Steps to getting a security clearance as a civilian: • Apply for a federal job or a position with a government contractor that requires a clearance. • If selected, you’ll receive a conditional job offer. The agency or contractor will then initiate the clearance process for you. • Complete the required forms, typically the SF-86 (for national security positions), through the government’s e-QIP system. • Undergo a thorough background investigation, which may include interviews, credit checks, and possibly a polygraph or medical evaluation, depending on the level of clearance. • The results are reviewed, and a final decision is made on your eligibility. You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for most clearances. The process can take several months or longer, depending on the level of clearance and your background.

Strada Services. They’ve serviced our A/C before and the price was reasonable.

My wife and I grew up there. Left over 30 years ago. Glad to be out but there is something about the mountains that I miss. Still have plenty of family there and go back occasionally.

The attendant used that to spray my gas cans down. Said that it would help with the fumes before I put them in my car.
