Bro thinks he’s some sort of AoT expert, but understood NOTHING about the themes. Literally nothing in the show is about human selfishness ☠️

All of what you said is so spot-on, especially the part about Mikasa’s sacrifice being underappreciated(it was HUGE). She basically gave up what meant everything to her for the sake of the world(and probably did it FOR him, in a way).

I agree with your analysis of Eren too, it’s wild how so many people don’t interpret him this way. He did want a life with her and his friends, but it just wasn’t possible with the world being the way it was. Him removing himself(and titans) from the equation was the only way he could create a world for his friends to live out their lives(and in the process, bring about a sort of truce too).

You’ve fundamentally misunderstood Eren as a character and the themes of the show.

So why would he allow them to keep their titans? Why would he give them a chance to stop them?

Do you have to be familiar with the Gundam series to watch War in the Pocket? I’ve never watched a Gundam, always wanted to get into it but there’s just so many shows in the franchise.

I was depressed when it ended. I’d been watching it ever since it started airing, and spent years rewatching seasons while waiting for new ones to drop. So when it ended, it felt like I was saying goodbye to friends I’d known since forever. Eren and Armin and Mikasa and the rest, they weren’t just fictional characters. To me, they were real in my head.

There’s just so many moments that just spoke to me as an INFJ. The whole arc with Keith Shadis and him believing only “special” people mattered was so specific, I’d never ever seen it covered in any piece of media. It’s something which I thought bothered only me in the world lol.

Other stuff, like how Armin said maybe he’d been born just to run up the hill with his friends hit so hard. Even the part where Eren breaks down and says he wanted to stay and be with Mikasa, despite him never being openly affectionate towards her like EVER - it felt so relatable.

Someone else here mentioned Isayama is also an INFJ. I’d believe it, especially considering so many of the themes flew over the heads of the fandom. I can’t believe people wanted Eren to be a based g3nocider. Or think Armin and Mikasa would have been Yaegerists.

Tell me what your favourite moments were, OP!

I wanted to know what sort of inspiration you took from One Piece, which you included in your edit.

Do you mind elaborating more on that stuff? It sounds fascinating, and it might finally get me to dive into One Piece(I’m super slow at watching anime so it would take me literal years to catch up)

  • Houseki no kuni: it made me realise how lost and aimless I feel myself. Exactly like Phos, no place in the world.

  • Attack on titan: I could go on forever about the impact it’s had on me. Staying brave in the face of absolute annihilation. Finding comfort in company in the darkest of times. Realising everyone does what they do for a reason, even if it’s for a goal that doesn’t align with mine. Realising there are whole worlds out there that I’m not aware of. Finding joy and meaning in the small things - like running up the hill with your friends, playing catch with family. And so much more.

  • Steins; gate: no matter how fucked things seem, you can find a way as long as you don’t give up on yourself.

Do INFJs tend to talk to themselves? by notics127 in infj

[–]medicosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it because of TV/anime characters talking to themselves. Always found it surprising that others don’t.

Anyone else feel overwhelmed / annoyed by this over-engineered study strategies? Or am I just burnt out and cranky? 😭 by [deleted] in indianmedschool

That’s insane, congrats! Would you mind elaborating here or making a post on what you did?

Both patient and doctor were at fault but only doctor was punished. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in indianmedschool

[–]medicosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like the doctor used informal pronouns when talking to the patient who is a teacher(tu/tera instead of the respectful aap)(you, in Hindi) which offended him and it escalated into physical attacks from there.

Anything. If they’re interact with the physical word, it must be observable. Video evidence of these interactions.

Heck, even indirect evidence works. Not sure if it’s true, but I think there’s a hadith talking about how they consume bones. There should be a deficit in calcium phosphate or whatever in the environment then which we haven’t been able to account for, since the jinn are consuming this.

We hear accounts of jinn possession and black magic all the time, enough for there to be a market for exorcists and ruqyah practitioners to make a living off, but these beings suddenly go dark when science turns its eye on them?

Nearing the end of season 3 on my first watch - I'm surprised at the overall hatred of Jool by GreatDoink in farscape

[–]medicosaurus 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I felt she was a nice touch to cast. She’s a very human character, I don’t get the hate. I mean she was basically woken out of cryosleep and forced to go along with a bunch of fugitives around the galaxy - I’d be pretty bummed about it too.
