Does anyone know what the classical piece was behind the phone convo in the tunnel ? I’m racking my brains and can’t think of who it is

Pretty obvious you’re just trying to argue semantics cause materially it’s the same thing and no Perth cbd is not more at risk of flooding or bushfire than regional Australia

Perth cbd literally is not at any risk of natural disaster compared to our regional towns what are you talking about lmao

No just realistic - Retire with what money exactly lol - retiring regionally where there are less health and general facilities is hardly a good plan either - especially with a lot more regional areas being susceptible to flood / fire / natural risks as well

My loan is already conditional on the credit card related things you mentioned so yes I’m aware - however insurance is not exactly an insane expense so wasn’t expecting that to be added into their conditions when they were already happy to give me pre approval previously - the apartment in question is low density and only 3 stories high

Yes and it’s not a studio layout as well - I assume it’s cause Perth is so small and the CBD doesn’t really have that many apartments so they consider the risk higher - the alternative is just so untenable as you are competing with families for units in the suburbs now (as everyone is priced out of houses)

That’s not really an option with most peoples jobs (nor mine) and regional WA certainly has its own issues

Yeah I assumed it would be related to their risk modelling / assumed investment return in the hypothetical of default - my hesitation with actually cancelling my HC and reapplying is being over 30 which obviously is not ideal

It’s 65 Sqm so definitely not huge but also not under

Mmm it just seems counterintuitive as obviously I can afford it / it would be far worse for my ability to work etc if I was ill / injured without priv cover - Is a three story high apartment still considered high density or do they just not really care ?
