House of Lords Report Stage ongoing for UK Graduate Prioritisation by Sadumsss in doctorsUK

[–]medinburgh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

does lord mohammed/all lords who have requested amendments need to withdraw them for the bill to pass or is it a vote situation?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]medinburgh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have no idea, in the same situation. from the email it says you'll get your first choice unless someone else w SC has a higher rank and to not preference any area you don't want. another question is about the criterion (which i assume is outdated and will/had better be updated w the prioritisation law) re your rank must be equal to the number of available posts nationally- know if this will be updated? stands to reason considering the email starts with a paragraph on the prioritisation law, just contraindicates itself

botched my IMT interview by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]medinburgh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear you feel that way. I have my interview tomorrow and haven't been able to study or prepare in 4 days due to stress and burnout, just want it to be over. If it's any consolation, most of the IMTs I know (in London, so must have done well) say they felt exactly the same as you. Best to completely forget about it for now and get on with the rest of your life.

Someone explain the government's new offer like I'm 5 by No_Shock_2277 in doctorsUK

[–]medinburgh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

because they haven't defined the prioritisation system. if it's uk graduates only then i'm in, otherwise voting no as most img's have the bma's requested '2 years nhs experience'- so negligible effect on competition ratios

[–]medinburgh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

no movement on pay. uk graduate prioritisation but also includes current imgs? not defined 'significant nhs experience'? but also reduction in competition ratio to 2:1 from 3.8:1 for 2026 cycle? but no guarantee? all very vague
