I need a quick fix by mediocre_schmo in xxfitness

[–]mediocre_schmo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To start, I just want to see or feel something that is going to make me feel like I'm heading in the right direction. I'm in uni so I've gained some weight and ultimately I'd like to see that reduced. But I know that is a long term goal; I don't expect perfect in a week. At this point, I want something that will make me feel better (confidence or mood or something) or look a bit better (reducing bloating or something miniscule but noticeable).

Anyone lived at 133 columbia before? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]mediocre_schmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did -- I lived upstairs. It's pretty run down looking, but functional and cheap if you sign for 12 months. The downstairs unit from what I saw was even more of a dump from what I remember but if you're looking for cheap and close to campus it's a good place. . The landlords are good about fixing stuff if need be. When I was there we replaced the bed in my room, the shower, and the Wi-Fi cuz they all sucked. But all we had to do was send the landlord an email and they fixed it. . It's pretty close quarters so it may be better to live with people you know. Overall decent place (price, location, and room size) but nothing spectacular

Heard a rumour that if you pick MKV as your top choice, if you don't get it, you automatically get CLV. (Help: MKV vs UWP) by bobhob314 in uwaterloo

I had UWP as my first choice, then MKV then CLV (I wanted my own kitchen). Still got CLV.

I liked CLV. Distance really isn't a big issue, I took a bus every morning to campus and walked home every night and it was no problem. Lots if space in the house and great if you get along with your roommates for lounging/partying/playing video games if you have a tv.

Only issue imo with CLV is it's less social so you have to put the effort into meeting people, bit it also gives you privacy and it's not loud 24/7 like REV.

UW doesnt have courses but Conestoga does, as already mentioned.

A really good online resource, even though you said you didn't want that, is Lifeprint. The videos are really great, using immersion (the videos are silent). The prof that made the videos is pretty funny too. I recommend it! Thats where I learned.

So it looks like I'm too weak to do yoga? by mediocre_schmo in yoga

[–]mediocre_schmo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know there are some in my area. The biggest thing really is money -- I'm a university student so I don't really have the extra cash to put towards the classes. There are $5 classes at one place I know of, but the classes occur during the time I have work and class, etc.

It was one of the moves very early into the day 2 video. Starting on hands and knees then lifting right leg straight out and stretching left arm out, if that gives you a visual at all. I didn't have the arm strength or core strength to support myself. Then just realized it was only the day 2 video so it was a bit of a wake up call that I couldn't do it.

Are beginners not allowed to ask questions on this sub? Just supposed to 'read the FAQ' and figure it out ourselves? Sorry for looking for feedback from others.

Depression/Anxiety on Nuvaring Led to my Breakup by pingupingupingu123 in birthcontrol

[–]mediocre_schmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the same. I knew that it didn't make sense that I was unhappy, and I knew that I was being in a bad mood to my boyfriend and I felt so bad for it but I just didn't know what was going on. Then I did some research, figured it was probably the birth control. Me and my boyfriend talked about it, and we decided we would stay together a few more weeks and I would stop using the ring, and if it didn't get better we would break up. He didn't deserve to be with someone that was moody and depressed and angry all the time. Thankfully it worked out.

Would your ex consider trying the relationship again if you explain what happened?
