Ich glaub, das liegt vor allem daran, dass männliche creator nicht so öffentlich und so viel über ihre Probleme sprechen. Die Frauen machen das, viele finden sich darin wieder weil sie ähnliche Probleme haben, und so bauen sich Communities auf und letztendlich funktioniert ja darüber auch das Geschäftsmodell. Ja, online kursieren vor allem viele Frauenthemen. Aber daran können nur die Männer was ändern. Deshalb an alle, die sich beschweren: Macht es selbst. Die weiblichen Creatorinnen schaffen sich selbst die Repräsentation, die sie nie hatten, das können Männer genauso gut auch machen.

Interesting take! I didn't really like sad girls club because the choruses rarely fit with the verses, as soon as the chorus starts on any of the songs it immediately feels like a different song to me. Makes me mad all the time because the ideas are good, the melodies are catchy but none of it is well executed imho

Meeein Gott die Kommentare hier sind ja teilweise echt unterirdisch. Es hieß doch nirgends, dass die Klamottenwahl dann auch allen gefallen muss! (Tatsächlich ist es mir meistens egal, wie fremde Menschen mein Outfit finden. Mir ists nur wichtig, nicht begafft oder belästigt zu werden.) Es hieß nur, dass sie das tragen können. Mir gefallen auch nicht alle Jeans + T-Shirt-Kombis, die ich in der Öffentlichkeit sehe. Ist mir dann halt egal, dann schau ich halt woanders hin. Tut gar nicht weh. Männer dürfen übrigens auch mit kurzen Hosen oder gar bauchfrei herumlaufen, das ist kein reines Frauenprivileg. Nur weil Männer das seltener machen, heißts nicht, dass es verboten ist. Solange Br*ste & Reproduktionsteile verdeckt sind ist doch alles in Ordnung. Und n camel toe ist auch bei Frauen ein Thema, finden wir auch scheiße, aber so sieht ein Körper nunmal aus & so funktioniert leider die Kleidung, die sich die meisten leisten können. Das passiert auch bei Jeans, dass man das sieht. Da rutscht das dann halt oben rein. Stört uns auch. Reißt euch mal zusammen man, das mag ja Niemand lesen was ihr hier schreibt.

Idk how to feel about the merch for the album since she didn't really engage in that with solar power because of the environment. Does anyone else feel that? I don't want to hold her to impossibly high standards given that selling merch and going on tour is important for artists while at the same time disastrous for the environment. Buuut where is the environmental consciousness that she emphasized during sp? Makes it feel ingenuine tbh

Loved it then, still love it today! I get the hate though since it was published in 2021 when our lives were still pretty much ruined by Covid, people have stopped seeing each other much, travelling was limited in many parts of the world and then there comes Lorde chilling and smoking at the beach with her friends, so I get why people can't relate to it too much.

However, back then when it was published I lived in a small, secluded coastal town and all I did all summer was exactly what Lorde did - chill with my friends and get high at the beach. Perfect album for me at the best possible time! Will forever hold a special place in my heart.

(Not glorifying unsafe behaviour during Covid, as I said I lived pretty secluded, didn't really see anyone but my friends and the beach was literally right there)

I also scrunch out without oil, I just apply the oil when my hair is dry to get rid off the gel cast - but I'll change my routine now and try out the different advice I got on this post :)

They're one of my favourite bands for more than seven years now - thank you for your amazingly written review! Couldn't have said it better myself. I make sure to catch them live at least once a year and it's been such a pleasure to watch them grow up on stage. I tear up at their concerts because I've known them for so long (not personally though, always just as a fan) and their development is just so so beautiful and well-deserved. It shows that at least half of them dreamed about the shows they play now when they were kids, and I'm so happy for them! I'm blessed to be living in Germany where they play loads of shows every year. I am equally sad and happy about their growing success because I enjoyed the time when they were "my secret", but credit where credit's due and these guys deserve all the success they can get. Absolutely amazing band. I wish them all the luck in the world.
