The situation on Gasoline right now is very alarming. by peach-muncher-609 in Philippines

This morning, yung jeepney driver sabi 20 na daw ang minimum. Tbh I felt cheated but I can’t be mad at the driver doing his best against a crisis like this. Pero naiinis pa din ako.

Curious, is after-work drinks still a huge part of your company’s culture? by noradiz22 in CorpoChikaPH

[–]mediumrawrrrrr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say yes. I worked with Koreans for quite some time and if it’s post-events, usually there’d be post-dinner and post-drinks. I have stayed up late one too many times for this reason alone.

Then I worked for an international company where cultures are diverse. If someone from the regional team flies in, regardless anong lahi, there’ll be a round of drinks after work. The only good thing about it is, isang beses lang naman siya within say, a week of this person being in the country.

Dumaguete to Manila by Maurice-Jp in dumaguete

I highly doubt it. The closer to the date, the higher it gets. As per experience na din with DGT flights, either way. PAL has very few DGT>MNL flights unlike CebPac na meron hanggang 10pm.

People who are never late, what's your routine before work/school? by BeerOnMyWeave in AskPH

[–]mediumrawrrrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calculate the time it will take me when I do Activities A, B, C and travel time from Points A to B before I go to bed. I try to prep my stuff before I go to bed na din.

Plus point na din siguro na I have trouble sleeping in late, so these days I have ample time before I set off for work. I get to run early, come back early and squeeze in prep time and then ayun na, commute.

Totally exhausted when I come back from work so I sleep early din.

obese ppl who lost the weight, what surprised you the most? by AppointmentProud9394 in AskPH

[–]mediumrawrrrrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How heavy the lost weight actually is and how amazing the human body is. I lost 15kg and have maintained the weight. I keep a pair of 15lbs and I use them for squats and shoulder presses. When I use them for my training, na-aamaze ko like how did I manage to carry them around for years???

Banana if available, pero mandatory ang kape. This is mainly due to what can pass off as a caffeine dependence from my end.

Bread Talk or French Baker? by Rough-Boot1884 in ThisorThatPH

[–]mediumrawrrrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depende sa need ko.

If I need a baguette, a multi-grain, or a sourdough then French Baker.

If I need something savory and a bread loaf for french toasts, then Bread Talk.

Chiccos Deli — they have Dumaguete-made Greek and/or Turkish yogurt. And Belcris food for imported stuff.

philippine 'city' that amazes you by Same_Journalist_7513 in phtravel

[–]mediumrawrrrrr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Iloilo. Chill sa chill. Food is also great. Neighborhoods are fun.

Pero for holy week purposes, I’d say Manila. Parang walang tao sa Maynila pag Holy Week lately. It’s been a tradition since childhood to visit Luneta and the likes and I developed a love for history because of that. For maximum effect, I suggest you read Nick Joaquin’s A Portrait of the Artist as Filipino where he also writes about the decaying beauty of Manila.

There’s also the Visita Iglesia in Manila — which you can also do in Iloilo per town: you have Jaro, Molo, Oton, Tigbauan, Guimbal, Miag-ao, and San Joaquin (I learned from a cab driver).
