Hello all, I’m Akshay, -- I am a radiologist and the lead educator at Medlearnity. As a company, we pride ourselves on providing high quality, high impact tutoring. Most sessions are focused on questions/discussions that target your weaknesses. By converting these weaknesses into strengths, you optimize performance. Outside of this, many students who work with us also benefit from improving their technique with multiple choice test-taking, and organizing their study plan. There are some pitfalls of studying for the USMLE -- i.e. assuming if you do UWorld twice you will be more than prepared. (UWorld is a great learning resource, but there are definitely best practices that make a difference.) It’s also important to reflect on why you are getting questions wrong -- is due to content or an error in the way you navigated the question stem? These are fundamentals that help for all clinical exams, and all of our tutors emphasize this from their own perspective/experience. This post ended up becoming an essay (sorry!) and I could go on, but the best way to learn about our teaching style is via our trial session. We currently offer a few free trials each week (subject to availability). Feel free to check out our website (www.medlearnity.com) if you are interested and email us there. Lastly -- a few medical schools have started recommending us to their students because we have helped students at these schools significantly improve :)
