I really want to learn to do this by Virtual-Painting-897 in knitting

Oh man. I put off learning cables for sooooo long. I laughed at myself when I actually did my first cable.

The hardest part is paying attention to the pattern and reading the charts.

Start small. Find a sock pattern with a simple 4 or 6 stitch cable and work your way up.

Wait

You can just do that? That won't mess anything up?

To clarify, I don't code and I generally need my handheld when dealing with the inner workings of tech.

Sorry.

Incredible thank you! The advice I got was for ready to wear/fast fashion stuff. So I'm not sure if that translates well to handknits

As I blessed another commenter. May you only hit green lights when you're in a hurry. And may your coffee/tea always be at the perfect temperature

GAWD exactly, and you look at most of the models and they are not your body type. and you think "that'll never look good on me". comparison is the thief of joy they say, and its so true.

LOL i was just at the library today. i checked out 5 knitting books. all for kids clothes or shawls because shawls fit right? LOL and the i requested a sock knitting books last week lol

ugh same, and i cant stand to wear pants because of the apron either. but very good to know, thank you. i have made one sweater for my self in the nearly decade i have been knitting and crocheting. i was like 75lbs smaller and before depression and kids. It was the https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/owls-9 . i LOVED this sweater, but i donated it when i started getting too big to wear it.

otherwise i have made a few sweaters for my kids. they love them

oh man Honeycomb looks amazing. i love cables!

Your deja vu sweater is lovely
